    About White's Cottage Center

White's Cottage Center sits in a quiet country spot in Angleton, Texas, less than ten minutes from the University of Texas Medical Branch, and over the years has become a calm home for older adults, those facing emotional challenges, or anyone dealing with disabilities, because it's been here since 1985 doing care work as a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit. The home's licensed by the state of Texas-licensed number 147161-and does its best to help a mix of folks, including people with dementia or mild confusion, as long as they can move around on their own and don't need much help with getting in or out of bed.

There are sixteen beds in total, so things never get too crowded, and the team on shift is there all day and night, giving everyone a hand with bathing, dressing, taking medicine, and whatever daily chores they need help with. Residents have private apartments but share dining rooms and spend time together at activities like game nights, movie night, or off-site trips, with easy transportation everywhere-shopping, doctor's visits, and local events-because the center runs its own free shuttle. Some folks who want their pets with them don't have to leave their animal companions behind, as the center accepts some pets.

The staff take care of meals, making sure they're nutritious, and the home always smells clean since laundry and housekeeping is part of the routine-there's even dry cleaning and linen service-not to mention that if you need a haircut, a barber comes right on site. The grounds are secure, there's parking for visitors, the internet's free and fast, and there are shared living rooms with TVs so people can watch the news or a show together if they want. Those who need more specialized support, like memory care for Alzheimer's or dementia, get that too, with personal homecare aides on hand and activities to keep minds and bodies active. There's also a Multicultural Center, along with religious services for those who like them, and community gardens plus walking paths for fresh air.

You'll find a Fair Housing & Equal Opportunity policy here, so everyone's welcome. White's Cottage Center follows an all-inclusive pricing structure that keeps the bills simple, and rental properties for independent residents are available with support if needed, but folks do need to be able to leave on their own if there's an emergency. With more than 35 years of experience serving a varied group of residents-including emotionally disturbed individuals and older adults-White's Cottage Center provides board and care, assisted living, memory care, and independent living options, offering steady help without fuss.
