    Very happy with this community

I moved my mom here and couldn't be happier. The facility is beautiful, modern and spotless, with large apartment options, two pools and convenient parking/transport. The staff are super friendly, caring and competent, meals are excellent, housekeeping is reliable, and there are tons of activities (theater, arts & crafts, games, day trips). It offers a safe continuum from independent to memory care and feels like a true community - I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the review summaries for Arabella of Longview Independent Living is strongly positive. Multiple reviewers describe the community as beautiful, modern, well-maintained and clean. Many highlight that the property feels new and is kept in good repair. The facility layout and grounds, including two pools, are consistently mentioned as attractive features that contribute to residents’ enjoyment. Location is also noted favorably — reviewers appreciate proximity to shopping and restaurants and the availability of on-site transportation via two buses.

Staff and care emerge as one of the most frequently praised aspects. Reviewers repeatedly call the staff friendly, caring, polite, competent and responsive. Families report that staff genuinely care for residents (specific mentions of caring for mothers), and that new residents are integrated well into the community, leading to a sense of belonging. Several family reviewers express confidence in the quality of care and explicitly recommend the community. The descriptions suggest a staff culture that encourages participation and is attentive to residents’ needs, which contributes to positive family experiences and perceived value.

The apartments and living options receive strong positive notes. Reviewers like that there is a variety of apartment sizes and new units, including large floor plans. Multiple comments point to choices of services and an environment that feels safe, secure and comfortable. Residents and families mention value for money and cite the availability of transitional care—from independent living through memory care—as an important advantage for long-term planning.

Dining and activities are significant strengths highlighted across reviews. Food quality is frequently praised with descriptors such as appealing menu, excellent food and pleasing meals. Activities are abundant and diverse: reviewers list theater events, arts and crafts, cards, dominoes, bingo, board games, day trips, a game room with pool tables, and other social programming. Participation is actively encouraged, and many reviewers describe robust social opportunities that help residents integrate and thrive.

Operational aspects and services are also positively noted. Housekeeping and multiple daily meal options are mentioned, as is the convenience of parking. Reviewers describe the community as offering many amenities beyond apartments—supportive services, social programming, and transportation—that together create a full-service senior living experience.

Notable concerns and patterns: cost and pricing variability surface as the main negative theme. Several reviewers mention price fluctuation and at least one person explicitly said they did not choose Arabella because of price. This indicates that while many feel the community offers good value, cost can still be a barrier for some prospective residents. Another minor point is a single reference to a "low overall rating," which contrasts with the overwhelmingly favorable firsthand accounts; this could reflect an external rating on a listing site rather than residents’ direct experience. A few mentions that there are "a couple meals a day" could indicate limited meal frequency for some plans or expectations, though most reviewers nonetheless describe the food positively.

In summary, Arabella of Longview Independent Living is portrayed across these reviews as a modern, well-equipped, and socially active community with strong staff engagement, solid dining, and a wide variety of amenities and activities. Families and residents commonly report satisfaction, recommend the community, and note good integration and sense of belonging for new residents. The primary caveat is pricing: prospective residents should confirm current fees and meal plan details to ensure fit with budget and expectations. Otherwise, the patterns in these summaries point to a highly regarded community with strengths in care, social programming, facility quality and residential options.
