The Villa at Marbridge sits on a big 200-acre campus in Travis County and is a licensed skilled nursing facility operated by The Marbridge Foundation, so you'll find a lot of care for people needing help due to disabilities or diseases, or just growing older and needing assisted living or skilled nursing. The Villa has 8 certified beds with more openings expected in June 2025 and accepts Medicare and Medicaid, which helps cover different needs. You'll see both independent and shared living spaces, most with private bathrooms, cable TV, kitchenettes, air conditioning, internet, and simple furniture, and residents can decorate with their own things, so it feels more like their own space. The staff provides 24-hour skilled nursing, help with medicine, transfers, bathing, dressing, eating, and offers a 24-hour call system in case someone needs quick help.
Meals are served in a relaxed community dining room, with all-day dining, meal preparation by a professional chef, and food for special dietary needs such as diabetic or allergy-sensitive diets. There are fitness rooms, a wellness space, a library, and a movie theater, so residents can relax or join friends in activities, and there's an arts room, game room, community programs, and even a computer lab for distance learning. Outdoor areas have walking trails, gardens, a pool, softball fields, horse stables, a livestock barn, and an amphitheater, and you'll see outdoor dining pavilions and spaces for events. People at the Villa can join softball, bowling, Special Olympics training, and trips into town or to other parts of the Marbridge campus like the Ranch and Village communities.
Healthcare at the Villa is tailored for seniors with all sorts of needs-specialized skilled nursing care is there for people with significant medical requirements, and there's a rehab team with physical, speech, and occupational therapies, plus a registered dietitian, social worker, and enrichment specialists. If residents or families need support, there's move-in coordination, housekeeping, transportation, parking, concierge services, and staff ready to help with emergency alerts. Residents live in a community where they can go to worship, take part in arts and crafts, learn in educational classes about current events or life skills, and visit the chapel or recreation rooms. The Villa also has a Sensorium and Life Enrichment Center, which adds to the activities and programs available.
The whole setting is meant to give folks a place to live and grow at their own pace, with different levels of care, from independent living to assisted living, skilled nursing, memory care, and home care. Marbridge provides support to help residents be active, have friends, and try new things while getting the medical and daily care they need. Visitors can set up a tour to see the living areas, meet staff and residents, and walk the grounds to get a feel for daily life there, which is always busy with games, fitness, worship, and community activities. The Villa at Marbridge is there for adults 55+ and especially for those with intellectual and physical disabilities, and the campus gives everyone lots of ways to stay busy, safe, and well cared for for as long as they need.
