    Caring facility, recent staffing concerns

I placed my uncle here and overall I'm very grateful - the facility is updated, clean, in a beautiful area, and the loving, skilled staff and hospice support provided high-quality, comfortable care with activities and a sunny room. Lately they've been short-staffed and evenings feel rushed (insufficient help at dinner), and I've noticed a decline in care at times. Still, I consider it one of the best, most caring places in the area.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is predominantly positive, with many reviewers praising the quality of care, the professionalism and compassion of staff, and the condition of the facility. Multiple comments specifically call out skilled nursing staff and describe caregivers as loving, hardworking, and caring. Families express gratitude for the care their relatives received, including during end-of-life and hospice situations, suggesting the facility is seen by several reviewers as a good place for last-days care and supportive hospice services.

Staff and care quality emerge as the strongest themes. Reviewers repeatedly mention high care quality and that they are happy with the care provided. Skilled nursing and hands-on caregivers are highlighted, and the staff is often described as friendly and caring. These positive staff comments are reinforced by statements that the facility is an excellent place with great people and great staff — some even go so far as to call it the best facility in the area. This strong praise indicates consistent strengths in clinical and day-to-day caregiving functions according to many family members and residents.

Facility, cleanliness, and amenities are also commonly praised. The facility is described as updated, clean, and very nice, with pleasant grounds or a beautiful surrounding area. Rooms offering windows and natural light are noted positively. The center appears to provide activities and events, which contribute to resident engagement and family satisfaction. Several reviewers singled out the premises' cleanliness and the welcoming nature of personnel as important positives.

However, there are clear and consistent concerns that temper the overall positive view. Multiple reviewers report staffing shortages and being short-handed, which appear to affect daily care delivery. A specific operational impact mentioned is insufficient time for staff to assist residents during dinner service, implying time-constraint-driven gaps in routine assistance. A few reviewers explicitly noted a decline in care quality, suggesting that staffing pressures or other operational issues may be episodically affecting care consistency. The combination of these comments points to an important pattern: while care quality and staff compassion are frequently praised, resource limitations and workforce strain are recurring concerns that have tangible effects on resident experience.

Space and atmosphere issues are less pervasive but notable. A cramped living area is mentioned, indicating some rooms or resident spaces may be small or feel restrictive. Additionally, one or more reviewers described a 'military style' environment — an ambiguous observation that could refer to a regimented routine or strict organization. This characteristic may be interpreted positively by those who prefer structured care settings, but it could be off-putting to others seeking a more relaxed atmosphere.

In summary, the reviews portray Runningwater Draw Care Center Inc as a generally well-regarded facility with many strengths: strong clinical staff, compassionate caregivers, clean and updated facilities, activity programming, and solid hospice/end-of-life support. These strengths lead to high satisfaction among many families and residents. At the same time, recurring concerns about staffing levels, episodic declines in care quality, limited assistance during meals, and some space constraints are important areas for attention. Prospective residents and families should weigh the facility’s praised caregiving and cleanliness against the potential for staff shortages and smaller room sizes, and may wish to ask management about staffing plans, meal assistance protocols, and room dimensions when evaluating placement.

About Runningwater Draw Care Center Inc

Runningwater Draw Care Center Inc sits as a 72-bed nursing home that offers different kinds of help for older adults and those recovering from illness or injury, and when you look at all the things they provide, you see assisted living and independent living, plus respite care, memory care, and long-term nursing support, and there's even a place for rehabilitation if folks need to recover after an illness, surgery, or accident, so there are options whether the stay is short or long, and families can schedule tours if they want to see the place before deciding. They've got hospice services, home care services, and home health help available, and they also have support and referral services to guide people through what can sometimes be a confusing time, making sure there are both skilled nurses and memory care staff ready. Residents can bring their pets, enjoy salon services, get transported where they need to go, eat personalized meals, and join different activities meant to keep everyone engaged, and those who need therapy or social support can find it here, too. The staff focuses a lot on making it feel like a caring and friendly community, following the idea of "We care… because we care, we serve," and from what is known, this place isn't part of a chain or connected to any hospital or outside groups but gets guidance from a local group of ten volunteers on the board, so it's managed by people from nearby who know the area. If anyone wants more details about the services or costs, they can ask for information or request a tour through the website, and if needed, family or professionals can help manage and update the facility's profile online as things change.
