    Warm, family-focused memory care facility

I chose this small, homey memory-care facility in Lehi and have been so pleased. The staff are warm, loving, and treat residents like family - Katie the care coordinator and long-tenured CNAs are patient, attentive, and experienced with dementia care, and there's an RN on site. Residents enjoy outings, games, crafts, worship and strong family engagement; I highly recommend this caring, responsive place.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the provided reviews for Abbington Senior Living of Lehi - Memory Care is strongly positive, with repeated praise focused on staff quality, memory-care expertise, and a small, home-like environment. A dominant theme is the warmth and compassion of the caregiving team: reviewers repeatedly use terms such as "warm," "friendly," "compassionate," and "patient," and several mention long-tenured CNAs and an RN on site. This combination of experienced staff and on-site nursing is tied to perceptions of high-quality dementia care and confidence that residents' clinical and daily needs are met.

The facility's size and atmosphere are another consistent strength. Multiple reviewers describe the building as smaller, quiet, and "homey" — even "reminds me of grandma's house." That smaller scale appears to support close, first-name-basis relationships between staff and residents and enables more individualized attention. Reviewers highlight strong family engagement and communication, with some explicitly calling the environment family-like or noting that residents are treated like extended family. The named praise for a care coordinator (Katie) and references to a positive work environment further reinforce the impression of a stable, engaged caregiving team.

Programming and quality of life are also underscored across reviews. A life enrichment specialist is mentioned along with a wide variety of regular activities: arts and crafts, Jeopardy, games, celebrations, crafts, weekly outings, movies, excursions, and Sunday worship services. Reviewers note extensive one-on-one activities, suggesting staff allocate time to individualized engagement as well as group events. Dining is noted in positive terms (three meals a day), and the general tone is that residents participate and enjoy activities.

Despite the overwhelmingly positive themes, there are important concerns to note. One review contains a severe allegation mentioning "starvation, neglect, failure to get doctor in time," and references to calls to shut down the facility. This is a serious outlier compared with the other summaries and, if accurate, would represent significant lapses in care and oversight. The reviews also repeatedly mention that some residents are "waiting for family who can't visit as often as desired," which highlights social isolation or limited family contact for some individuals — a common concern in memory-care settings that can affect resident well-being even when facility care is otherwise strong. Finally, a few comments imply the existence of isolated complaints about oversight or responsiveness; while the majority of feedback is positive, these negative notes warrant follow-up.

In sum, the aggregated reviews paint Abbington Senior Living of Lehi - Memory Care as a small, well-staffed memory-care home with experienced caregivers, individualized programming, and a warm, family-like culture. The facility's strengths appear to be staff stability, dementia-care knowledge, active life-enrichment offerings, and a comfortable home-like setting. However, the presence of a serious safety/neglect allegation and recurring notes about limited family visitation are non-trivial concerns. Prospective families or referral sources should: (1) verify staffing levels and incident history with the provider and state licensing agency, (2) ask about how the facility handles medical escalation and emergency physician access, and (3) inquire about programs or supports to increase family engagement and reduce social isolation for residents who receive fewer visits.

About Abbington Senior Living of Lehi - Memory Care

Abbington Senior Living of Lehi - Memory Care sits quietly in Lehi, Utah, offering a homelike, residential care home setting for seniors with memory impairments like Alzheimer's and dementia, and you know, they've really designed the place to feel comforting with elegant decor and inviting indoor and outdoor spaces, and the rooms come furnished and have nice views, which a lot of people look for. The staff stays around-the-clock, and they're trained to help residents who need support with memory issues, making sure folks stay safe, have help when needed, and don't wander off since the building has secured and alarmed areas for safety. There's medication help, assistance with things like bathing, dressing, and moving around, and if someone needs healthcare coordination, that gets handled too so people don't miss appointments or treatments they need.

Meals get cooked up by the community chef, and they're served in a cozy, restaurant-style dining space three times a day, sometimes with special dietary plans for things like diabetes or allergies, and you'll find things like an Ice Cream Parlor tucked away for a treat, which brings a bit of joy to the day, and there's housekeeping and laundry services so families don't have to worry about chores piling up-seniors who like to do their own laundry have easy access too. Recreational and social activities run throughout the week, with a calendar including fitness at the small gym, group outings, movie nights in a real movie theater room, and time spent in a roomy great room or quiet hours in the library reading or doing puzzles, all set up to help folks stay purposeful and connected, because that really does matter.

The community supports families as well, with respite care for caregivers who need a break, and personalized care plans so each resident's routines and health needs get met the way they should. There's support for common daily living activities and help with keeping up good hygiene, and they keep things secure so people with memory loss feel safe, especially since the grounds have walking paths and gardens for fresh air. The company, run by Mr. Clint Greenwood, has been serving seniors since 1996 and is part of a larger Abbington network, so folks get consistency and experience in their care, and the place is recognized locally for specialized memory care and dementia services. There's no long-winded price list out there, but apartments start at $2,875 per month. The facility is set up like a family, aiming to keep everyone feeling welcome, giving lots of supervision and support, and offering small comforts that matter as people age and face memory changes.
