    Exceptional care, activities, and peace

I placed my mom here and feel she's genuinely well cared for - staff are kind, tireless, and go above and beyond, CNAs and the director are excellent, and the facility is always clean and bright. There are tons of activities (Wii bowling, music, games, scenic drives, church services), great scratch-made food with flexible dining, outings with scheduled bus service, a salon, library and other amenities. Medical support is solid - medication management, PT, hospice/PA access - which gives our family real peace of mind. The building is newer and comfortable, but apartments are small, it's on the pricier side and the tour felt rushed; despite that, I would recommend it and wouldn't want mom anywhere else.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews for Spring Gardens Senior Living Mapleton is strongly positive, with recurring praise for the staff, cleanliness, food, and breadth of activities. Many reviewers emphasize that staff are friendly, caring, and go above and beyond; CNAs and nurses are frequently described as "amazing" or tireless, and leadership is noted as engaged and visible. Multiple comments single out the executive director and named staff members who provided particularly helpful or compassionate care, and several reviews specifically praise end-of-life/hospice support and smooth transitions into assisted living.

The facility itself is repeatedly described as clean, bright, modern, and brand-new or newer. Reviewers mention specific accessible features such as wheelchair-accessible bathrooms, a pleasant dining area, a library, exercise rooms, an outdoor patio, and an on-site salon. Small community size is often framed positively: family-oriented, tight-knit, and comfortable. There are amenities that support daily life and convenience, including a mini-store, an open bar/snack area, and scheduled resident transportation with scenic drives, picnics, and other outings.

Dining and food service are standout strengths. Multiple reviewers characterize the food as excellent or five-star, note that meals are made from scratch, and appreciate a flexible chef willing to prepare items outside the posted menu. Flexible dining hours, a pleasant dining room, and options to bring furniture to make apartments feel like home are additional positives cited by families and residents.

Activities programming receives consistent praise for variety and frequency: church services (including LDS-oriented offerings mentioned by some), game nights, Wii bowling, movies, arts and crafts, exercise classes, dances, music events, and regular outings. A recreational specialist and active branch leaders contribute to a schedule described as having multiple daily activities, which many reviewers say keeps residents engaged and happy. Transportation services and scheduled bus trips are also highlighted as enabling family visits and outings.

Care quality and medical access are reported as strong. Reviewers note adequate staffing levels, the presence of multiple CNAs and a charge nurse, one-on-one discussions with a physician assistant, medication and physical therapy support, and good coordination with hospice when needed. Several comments stress that the staff's involvement and competence provide peace of mind for families.

Notwithstanding the many positives, a set of consistent concerns appears across reviews. Apartment size is a frequent drawback — described as small or tight, especially two-bedroom units — and some reviewers question the value relative to cost. Pricing impressions are mixed: while some say pricing is very reasonable, others describe the community as expensive, note a high extra occupant fee, or express affordability concerns. Location suitability is another mixed point: some reviewers find the location convenient and closer to family, while others note it is not near groceries or say the location is not ideal.

A few reviewers call out the sales and touring experience as rushed or high-pressure, and some feel the building materials or finishes lack style compared with other facilities (modern and clean but not as upscale in materials/aesthetics). A small number of reviewers wished for even more activities despite the generally robust activity schedule. These issues tend to be secondary to the overall strong endorsements but are important considerations for prospective residents weighing cost, apartment size, and location.

In summary, Spring Gardens Senior Living Mapleton earns high marks for staff quality and compassion, cleanliness, food, and an active program of activities and outings. It appears especially well suited to families seeking a smaller, engaged community with hands-on leadership, strong nursing/CNA support, and good end-of-life care options. Prospective residents should weigh the tradeoffs around smaller apartment sizes, potential extra fees, and location convenience; they may also want to prepare for a brisk sales/tour experience and ask specific questions about costs, apartment dimensions, and finishes during a visit.

About Spring Gardens Senior Living Mapleton

Spring Gardens Senior Living Mapleton sits in a small-town area with nice mountain views and offers a mix of independent living, assisted living, and memory care for seniors who need some help, more support, or have dementia or Alzheimer's, and the building holds 46 units, including private rooms and different apartment layouts like studios and one or two-bedroom places, plus special memory care suites with cozy sitting areas and partial kitchenettes, and you'll see everything set up so people stay safe with Wanderguard, grab bars, roll-in showers, and emergency alert systems in every apartment, which means nurses and care staff keep an eye out all the time and the whole memory care wing stays locked to stop wandering. Trained staff help folks who need assistance with daily activities-there's help for things like getting dressed, bathing, moving around, and managing medicine, while those with dementia get 24-hour support, personalized care plans that get reviewed by the medical team, behavior help, and programs for memory and brain stimulation, not to mention a dedicated therapy gym with exercise bikes and equipment for therapy.

Dining here means sitting at round tables in an elegant, restaurant-style dining room, eating meals made fresh by the culinary staff from early morning to evening, and there's an ice cream parlor for snacks and time with guests, while people needing special diets for diabetes or allergies get meals prepared for them, and everyone's clothes and linens stay clean with laundry and linen service, but some prefer to use the self-service washers and dryers, and the staff keeps all the apartments tidy with weekly housekeeping. There's all sorts of rooms throughout-inviting fireplaces, comfortable shared areas, a library, and a movie theater, and folks can join in a long list of activities like movie nights, music, arts and crafts, fitness classes, religious services, and outings for shopping, medical appointments, or just scenic drives, and there's a salon on-site for hair and nail care too. The whole place feels cared for, from the covered patio in memory care, walking paths and gardens outside to indoor rooms with soft lighting, TVs, bookshelves, and easy chairs, and the environment feels private and peaceful, with air conditioning and Wi-Fi in the apartments and staff speaking more than one language to help everyone.

Safety technology like the SafelyYou fall detection program works alongside the 24-hour call system and nurse on staff to respond quickly in emergencies, and memory care programming's all about helping people with mild cognitive impairment by offering stimulation, education, and social time to keep folks engaged and doing well. Seniors here can go about their day with support from a care team, get their medicine managed, enjoy full meals in a nice space, and relax knowing staff's around if needed, whether living independently or getting a little extra help, while transportation's scheduled for medical visits and shopping, and families get help and information from the community team. The focus stays on comfort, dignity, and routines that suit every resident's needs and preferences, so people living at Spring Gardens Senior Living Mapleton have access to medical supervision, clean spaces, nutrition, safety, and programs to help them stay active, social, and as independent as possible for their stage in life.
