I love the atmosphere and location here. The staff are friendly, accommodating, and proactive-Sharlee was absolutely the best and helped me so much with my move-in, and the manager even held paperwork and showed real interest in my family. I feel positive about this becoming my home.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews from the Delaney Service Coordinator are uniformly positive. Reviewers repeatedly emphasize strong, helpful staff interactions, a welcoming atmosphere, and a smooth, proactive move-in experience. There is a clear pattern of satisfaction and optimism about the community as a future home, driven largely by frontline staff behavior and specific management actions.

Staff quality and interpersonal care: Staff performance is the dominant theme. Multiple summaries call staff "helpful," "friendly," "accommodating," and "excellent," indicating consistent positive encounters. A manager is specifically noted for handling paperwork and taking initiative, which suggests efficient administrative support. One staff member, Sharlee, receives multiple singled-out commendations (“positive interaction with Sharlee,” “Sharlee is the absolute best”), indicating that individual employees are making noteworthy, memorable impressions. The comments that staff were "interested in my family" imply staff take time for personalized conversations and show relational, family-oriented attention rather than purely transactional interactions.

Move-in, management, and operations: The reviewers mention a "proactive move-in" and that the manager "held paperwork," which together paint a picture of an organized and supportive move-in process. Those details suggest management is hands-on during transitions and willing to take extra steps to ease administrative burdens for new residents and families. The "positive outlook on future home" phrasing signals confidence in ongoing management and the community’s ability to meet resident needs over time.

Facility atmosphere and location: "Nice atmosphere" and "Location" are explicitly cited, indicating that the setting and environment are perceived positively. While reviewers do not provide specifics about physical amenities, cleanliness, or room quality, the repeated reference to atmosphere suggests communal spaces and general ambiance are welcoming. Location is mentioned as a positive point, though no detail is given about proximity to services, transit, or local attractions.

Gaps and missing information: The summaries are strongly favorable but limited in scope. There is no direct information about clinical care quality, staffing levels or consistency (beyond praise for specific staff), dining quality, activity programming, medical responsiveness, pricing, or long-term resident outcomes. Because these areas are not addressed in the provided comments, they remain unknown and should be explored further by prospective residents or families.

Overall assessment and recommendations: The reviews indicate a facility with attentive, personable staff and an organized, supportive move-in/administrative process. Management appears engaged and there are standout employees who significantly enhance resident impressions. The atmosphere and location also receive positive mentions. However, because the feedback focuses almost exclusively on interpersonal and initial-experience factors, anyone considering this community should follow up with targeted questions or visits to evaluate clinical care, dining, activities, staffing consistency, and costs to gain a complete picture. Additionally, asking for references or longer-term resident feedback could confirm whether these positive impressions persist beyond move-in and early interactions.

    About Delaney Service Coordinator

Delaney Service Coordinator sits right on West Riverside Avenue in Spokane, inside a big old eight-story building that goes all the way back to 1912, which used to have the old KREM-TV studios and once held the Spokane Police Department and City Hall annex, so it's got a lot of history in its walls, and these days it's been fixed up with new weather-friendly windows that look like the old ones did, accessible bathrooms, safer floors, better heating and air, and kitchens with new appliances, all as part of a $3.5 million effort to make everything safer and easy to get around for seniors or folks with disabilities. This place does subsidized housing for people age 55 and older, offering studios and one-bedroom apartments with rent based on 30% of your income through HUD or tax credit programs, so it really helps folks on a tight budget. The apartments have air conditioning, full kitchens, window coverings, and some units have wide doorways, low counters, and walk-in showers for wheelchairs or those who need extra help, and there's a laundry, a community room, an elevator, a library, a computer lab, and even a garden courtyard where you can sit outside when the weather's nice. They include utilities in the rent, and there's off-street parking, controlled entry, and quick access to city buses right outside the door. People who live here get help from a Social Service Coordinator who's on site, which means there's someone around to help coordinate care, meals, and personal support, along with daily activity help, medication reminders, and connecting residents to other health services or programs they might need. Delaney Service Coordinator is tied in with other communities in Spokane like The Academy, Fairwood Retirement Village, Rockwood at Whitworth, and several more, showing it's part of a bigger network through Catholic Charities Spokane, and it gives a solid place for low-income older adults or those with disabilities to live, with support there when it's needed, some group activities, and the kind of features that help folks stay independent as long as possible.
