      Clean caring home; highly recommended

I chose this renovated, spotlessly clean home for my spouse and couldn't be happier. The owner-led team - including an on-site RN - is caring, hardworking and trustworthy; they know residents personally, check in often, and bend over backwards, so my loved one is doing much better and felt right at home. Meals are homemade and well-balanced, the atmosphere is warm and homey with activities, and staff treat residents like family. I highly recommend them for great care and value, though availability is limited and I did notice occasional understaffing.

      Summary review

Overall sentiment: Reviews for Home of Helping Hands Assisted Living, LLC are overwhelmingly positive. Multiple reviewers emphasize high-quality, personalized care delivered in a warm, home-like setting. The dominant themes are a dedicated and trustworthy staff, owner/administrator involvement, strong personal relationships with residents, and clean, comfortable facilities. Families repeatedly report feeling reassured and confident leaving loved ones in the home’s care, and several reviewers explicitly state they would recommend the facility.

Care quality and staff: Care is described as resident-focused and family-like. Reviewers use phrases such as "treated like family," "trustworthy caregivers," and "bend over backwards to make her feel comfortable," indicating compassionate, attentive caregiving. The presence of an on-site registered nurse is repeatedly noted and framed as a confidence-building factor; reviewers say the RN monitors residents and that staff perform personal check-ins. Owner-led or administrator-led management is frequently mentioned, with multiple comments that the owner/administrator is caring and involved, supporting the impression of hands-on leadership. Several reviewers reported measurable improvements in their loved ones' health or well-being after placement, suggesting effective daily care and supervision.

Facilities and environment: The home is described as beautifully renovated and spotlessly clean. Reviewers highlight a welcoming, homey decor (plants, pictures) and a comfortable, well-located setting. The environment is consistently characterized as "home-like," which complements the small-scale, personal approach to care. Cleanliness is a repeated positive across reviews, contributing to family members' comfort in leaving residents in the facility.

Dining and activities: Meals are a clear strength: reviewers mention meals made from scratch, a well-balanced diet, and "home-cooked" offerings. This contributes to the home-like atmosphere and is tied to improvements in residents' well-being. Activities such as crafts are noted, indicating some level of engagement and social opportunities for residents in a small, informal group setting.

Management, value, and recommendations: Management and administration receive positive comments for being wonderful, involved, and supportive. Multiple reviewers explicitly state the facility represents good value for the price and many would recommend it. The combination of owner involvement, an on-site RN, and staff who form personal relationships with residents are recurring reasons families endorse the home.

Notable patterns and concerns: The major concern raised in the reviews is staffing level. At least one review specifically mentions a staffing worry — that one staff member and her daughter were caring for all residents — suggesting potential vulnerability if the home relies on a very small team. This small-team model appears to be a double-edged sword: it supports personal, family-like care but may present risks around coverage, burnout, or continuity if multiple staff are unavailable. Another practical limitation mentioned is limited availability; reviewers note that there are no beds available or only one room, indicating capacity constraints and a possible waitlist.

Bottom line: Home of Helping Hands Assisted Living, LLC appears to deliver highly personalized, compassionate care in a clean, renovated, home-like setting with strong family endorsements. The presence of an on-site RN and involved ownership/management are important positive differentiators. Prospective families should be encouraged by the consistent reports of improved resident well-being and the homemade dining, but they should explicitly confirm current staffing levels and bed availability during their inquiry, as the small, intimate model that creates close relationships may also mean limited capacity and potential staffing vulnerabilities.

About Home of Helping Hands Assisted Living, LLC

Home of Helping Hands Assisted Living, LLC sits in a quiet part of Goodyear, AZ, where a family-Mario, Monica, and their mother-run a small, ten-bed home that mixes kindness, careful service, and practical support, and one can feel comfortable with the basic things already taken care of, since the staff does the cleaning, the laundry, and helps with meals made from organic ingredients, offering dishes for all kinds of needs-like low sodium or sugar-free or kosher or vegetarian, always served fresh, either in the dining room, out in the garden, or right to the resident's room, and the place stays clean and tidy because the staff knows people like living in a space that feels like home. The rooms are all different-a choice of private or semi-private, some recently furnished, all with private bathrooms and air conditioning, kitchenettes, phones, internet, cable, and easy-to-use safety features like medical alert systems and walk-in tubs, with extra measures in memory care areas, like alarmed exits and secure outdoor walking paths, so people with dementia feel less confused. Residents don't have to worry about managing medicine, since caregivers and licensed nurses-CNA, LPN/LVN, or RN-take charge of medication and keep an eye out 24 hours a day, supporting with simple daily things like bathing, dressing, incontinence care, or moving around, and anyone needing special help, like for diabetes or high-acuity needs, gets it.

The home doesn't offer the biggest set of amenities, but there are common spaces inside and garden areas outside, and the staff arranges for safe walks, devotional services for several different faiths, movie nights, birthday and holiday parties, and live music in the lounge, all designed for people who want to join in and keep busy, and animal lovers can even join pet-focused programs. The family who runs the place works closely with residents and their families-personal attention stands out here-and they've kept the building fresh and welcoming with recent updates. People get rides to doctors or can arrange trips out, and the location gives easy access to pharmacies, hospitals, cafes, and parks, which makes it easier for folks to stay connected to the wider world if they want. The place runs on a model called a Board and Care Home-a house in a neighborhood, not a big facility, with the focus always on care and respect for each individual, so staff spend time getting to know the residents, checking in often, and making sure everyone gets what they need, from homemade meals to simple kindness and friendly talk, all in English. There are both private and shared rooms, with semi-private ones costing $2,800 a month, and private rooms at $3,500 a month, and the home doesn't take Medicare, but it offers a range of services, from assisted living and memory care to nursing and hospice, for people who need longer-term, non-acute help. Home of Helping Hands Assisted Living, LLC stands out for its small size, hands-on owners, spotless renovated spaces, caring staff, and its honest aim to support elders so each person lives comfortably and safely.
