    Small caring memory care recommended

I toured virtually and placed my mom in this small (about 9 residents per building) memory-care home during COVID. The place is spotless, peaceful, and the staff - plus a personable owner who texts regular updates - are caring, patient, and go out of their way to engage residents; my mom is happy. The menu/food looks good and they accommodated window visits during the pandemic. It's not set up for physical therapy/rehab and a very social person might prefer a larger facility, but for high-quality, attentive care I highly recommend this small, wonderful community.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive. Multiple reviewers describe Saint Anthony's Adult Care Home as a spotless, beautiful, and peaceful small community where residents are happy and well cared for. The facility is repeatedly praised for high-quality care, and reviewers commonly call out the staff as wonderful, caring, patient, and engaged with residents. Several family members say staff go out of their way to help and that their loved ones are content there, and reviewers frequently recommend the home to others.

Management and communication receive consistent praise. The owner is described as personable and hands-on; reviewers specifically note that the owner provides updates via text and that the home is communicative with families. During the COVID pandemic the facility implemented measures such as window visits, which families appreciated. Virtual tours are available, which some families used when evaluating the home. These details suggest a facility that prioritizes family communication and transparency.

The environment and staffing are highlighted as strengths. The facility is called extremely clean and beautiful, and reviewers emphasize the small, intimate scale — nine residents per building — which supports a close, personal care model. Staff are characterized as patient, responsive to family requests, and actively engaging with residents; this is reinforced by multiple comments about residents being happy and well looked after, and at least one reviewer specifically noting that the home is appropriate for memory care residents.

Dining receives positive mention as well: reviewers say the menu is good and the food looks appetizing, which contributes to overall resident satisfaction. Combined with the attentive staffing and clean environment, dining quality appears to be a complementary factor in families’ positive impressions.

The main limitations noted across reviews relate to fit and scope of services rather than cleanliness or care quality. The facility’s small size and limited capacity are explicit considerations — while many families see the small scale as a plus, some noted that a very social resident might prefer a larger community. Additionally, the home is described as not suitable for physical therapy or rehabilitation services, so families seeking an environment with active rehab offerings should look elsewhere. A couple of reviewers conveyed uncertainty about long-term fit for specific family members, reflecting that the intimate, memory-care-focused model is not universally appropriate.

In summary, Saint Anthony's Adult Care Home appears to excel at creating a clean, calm, and caring environment with highly engaged staff and strong family communication. It is especially well suited for families seeking personalized memory care in a small, home-like setting. Prospective residents or families who require ongoing physical therapy, extensive rehabilitation services, or a much larger social community should be aware of the facility’s limitations and evaluate fit accordingly.

About Saint Anthony's Adult Care Home

Saint Anthony's Adult Care Home sits in a quiet spot with pretty views and has a homey, comfortable feeling, especially since the staff don't wear scrubs which helps everyone feel more at ease, and you'll find only about 6 or 7 residents living there at a time, so everyone gets familiar faces and a close-knit group. The staff stay on site around the clock, so if someone needs help with getting up, moving around, or reminders for medication, someone's always close by, and there are both nurses and a doctor on call for any needs or sudden changes that come up, plus they bring in help for things like physical or speech therapy, and they'll even work with sliding scale therapy for diabetes, with staff handling blood sugar checks and insulin shots when that's needed. The building is secure to help folks with dementia, cutting down on wandering, and the memory care program gives people with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia a better shot at enjoying their days, with activities and programs meant to keep them engaged and safe, and they really work with each person's needs, from offering reminders to helping out with transfers, even using lifts or two-person transfers if necessary. Both studio and semi-private rooms let folks choose between more private or shared spaces, with prices around $3,500 to $4,000 a month, and the setting stays very clean and feels just like a regular house, not like some big institution. The staff have a reputation for being cheerful and kind, and residents get amenities like beauty and barber services along with meals made fresh and served three times a day, always keeping special diets in mind. There's help for incontinence and plenty of options for activities-gardening, music therapy, pet visits, and board games-plus spacious outdoor porches and a safe courtyard for spending quiet time or seeing family. Transportation's available for appointments, shopping, and local worship, so it's pretty easy to stay active, and families say the staff keep them well updated. You'll find a library with internet and media, too, for anyone who likes to read or be online. Saint Anthony's aims for a place where adults can keep as much independence as possible while still getting steady support in a gentle, respectful way.
