      Compassionate attentive 24-hour dementia care

I'm extremely grateful we found this place. The owner (an RN) and a tenured, well-trained, compassionate staff provided 24-hour, medically attentive dementia care in a spotless, safe, home-like setting - my mom transitioned successfully and is calmer and happier. Staff communicate clearly, are engaged and patient, meals and rooms are pleasant, and I highly recommend them.

      Summary review

Overall sentiment: Reviews of The Family's Choice II are overwhelmingly positive. Across multiple accounts, reviewers emphasize consistently high-quality, compassionate care delivered by well-trained and engaged staff. The facility is repeatedly described as clean, calm, and home-like, with residents appearing content and well-cared-for. Many reviewers express relief and gratitude at the placement, stating that their loved ones became happier and that the transition to this home was successful.

Care quality and staff: The strongest and most frequent theme is the quality of caregiving. Staff are repeatedly characterized as loving, compassionate, patient, attentive and actively engaged with residents. Reviewers highlight a high staff-to-resident ratio, 24-hour care coverage, and tenured caregivers who receive regular training. The owner’s clinical background (an RN) and hands-on involvement are cited as important contributors to clinical attentiveness and operational reliability. Communication from management and staff is described as outstanding; reviewers note that the owner listens, follows through, and communicates clearly. One caregiver, Joy, is specifically named and praised, indicating strong individual staff relationships.

Facilities and environment: The physical environment is another strong positive. Multiple reviewers call the house spotlessly clean and well-maintained, with bright rooms that receive natural light through large windows. The setting is portrayed as calm, welcoming, and home-like rather than institutional. Rooms are described as roomy and able to be personalized with familiar decorations; when shared rooms are present, reviewers report them as adequate. Safety was emphasized, including specific appreciation for how the home managed the COVID period, further reinforcing trust in the facility’s procedures.

Dining, routines, and daily life: Reviewers note predictable schedules and communal dining, which supports social interaction (meals together). Food receives mixed-but-leaning-positive mentions: several reviewers remark that meals are good, while at least one called the food merely "acceptable." The predictable routine and attentive handling of medical conditions are presented as valuable for residents who need stability and clinical monitoring.

Management, training, and outcomes: Management involvement appears hands-on and clinically informed, with the owner’s RN background and reputation repeatedly cited. Tenure among staff and ongoing training are highlighted, suggesting stability and competence. Several reviewers describe measurable positive outcomes, such as a loved one’s mood and health improving after placement. High satisfaction is reflected in multiple emphatic recommendations and ratings (e.g., "staff five plus, value five plus").

Notable patterns and minor concerns: There are very few criticisms in these summaries. The only recurring minor issues are that at least one reviewer described the food as merely "acceptable" rather than excellent, and that some residents are housed in shared rooms (which reviewers still described as adequate). No recurring concerns about safety, neglect, or poor hygiene appear in these summaries; in fact, safety and cleanliness are frequently praised.

Conclusion: The Family's Choice II presents as a well-run, compassionate, and clinically attentive residential care option with strong management involvement, a stable and trained staff, and a clean, home-like environment. The most salient strengths are the quality and engagement of staff, owner oversight from an RN, effective communication, and evident resident well-being. Prospective families should be reassured by the consistent positive reports; if private rooms or exceptional gourmet dining are priorities, they may want to verify room availability and menu options during a visit, but overall reviewers strongly recommend this facility.
