Courtyard Manor, set at 308 Sidney Martin Rd. in Lafayette, Louisiana, has been family owned and run since 1985. Staff and caregivers are always around, day and night, to help residents with grooming, hygiene, and taking their medicine. The community works hard to keep residents safe, using a security guard and twenty-four-hour staff to watch over everyone. Meals come fresh every day, and laundry and cleaning of both apartments and clothes all happen on site so no one has to worry about those chores.
There are three types of apartments, including studios and one-bedroom units, and all have their own full kitchens and baths. Residents can use the therapy center, enjoy landscaped green spaces or sit by the onsite fishing pond, and take part in dance classes, music concerts, and exercise as part of Courtyard Manor's Life Enrichment Program. Courtyard Manor Nurse Care handles the nursing care on site, with nursing, assisted living, Alzheimer's Care, and retirement care options all available. The staff drafts individualized care plans for each person, so everybody gets the amount of help they need, from daily living support to more involved nursing tasks.
People here can join in enrichment activities, music programs, and all sorts of events that fill out the week, and the Cajun (Southern) hospitality around the place seems genuine enough, and that's something you can't always count on. Courtyard Manor keeps a presence on Facebook, and folks interested can call to arrange a tour. The community has floor plans available for new residents and different phone numbers for assisted living and nursing services, and everything is set up to give aging seniors and disabled adults comfort and a bit of company while making sure their safety comes first.
