    Large, caring, busy Christian-based facility

I live here - it's a large, busy, very nice Christian-based facility with spacious, home-like rooms, a solid nursing center, many amenities and activities (bingo, bridge, dominos, exercise classes, outings and transportation) and generally good food. The staff are caring, helpful and hospitable and residents seem happy; the yard and housekeeping are mostly kept up, but I've noticed some areas that could be cleaner and staff can be stretched thin. It's good care for the price but can be expensive; overall I would recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is positive, with multiple reviewers highlighting Morrison Residence as a large, active senior living community that offers good care and many amenities. Residents and visitors repeatedly describe the place as nice and home-like, noting spacious rooms, a pleasant facility appearance, and a well-kept yard. The community is characterized by a busy, social atmosphere where residents appear happy and engaged. Multiple reviewers explicitly recommend the facility and report that the care provided is good.

Care quality and staffing are frequent strengths in the feedback. Reviewers use words such as caring, kind, helpful, and hospitable when describing staff, and several comments note that residents are well looked after. There is clear appreciation for the presence of nursing-center-level care, indicating that the facility can meet a range of medical and personal-care needs. At the same time, a theme of staff being very busy appears repeatedly; reviewers perceive staff as helpful and pleasant but also stretched. This suggests generally competent and compassionate staff performance, but with potential capacity or workload pressures that can affect responsiveness at times.

Activities, social life, and outings are strong positive themes. The facility appears to offer a diverse activity program—bingo, bridge, dominos, various games, and extensive exercise programs are mentioned—as well as organized outings and special events such as college visit days and group meals out. Many reviewers described an active calendar and friendly, engaged residents, which supports the picture of a vibrant community that supports social engagement and physical activity.

Dining and amenities are generally praised. Several reviewers explicitly enjoyed the food and found meals satisfying. Transportation services and housekeeping are noted as available, and the overall list of amenities contributes to perceptions of value and convenience. The community's Christian orientation is also mentioned positively by some reviewers as a cultural or spiritual fit.

Areas of concern are few but consistent enough to note. Cleanliness issues are raised by more than one reviewer—some areas 'seemed dirty'—which contrasts with other comments about housekeeping and a pleasant appearance; this suggests that cleanliness may be uneven across the facility or fluctuate over time. Cost is another clear concern: while some reviewers say the facility offers good care for the price, others find it expensive or unaffordable. Finally, the facility's size and busy environment are double-edged: they provide social opportunities for many residents but could be overwhelming for individuals seeking a quieter setting.

In summary, Morrison Residence is portrayed as a solid, active senior living community with many amenities, strong activity programming, good food, and caring staff. The primary strengths are social engagement, a breadth of activities and outings, and generally good care in a spacious, home-like setting. The main issues to evaluate further are occasional cleanliness lapses, perceptions of staff being overworked, and affordability. Prospective residents and families should weigh the value of a busy, social community and broad services against possible noise, variable cleanliness, and cost when deciding if Morrison Residence is the right fit.
