    Clean well-managed accessible family-friendly apartments

I live here and I'm pleased - it's well managed, well maintained, clean and well lit, with in-unit washer/dryer, an accessible open layout with no stairs, and responsive, helpful management/maintenance. Friendly neighbors, a peaceful, secure feel, well-laid-out parking, reasonable prices and a great neighborhood make it worth a look; I'd recommend it to families.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews present a mixed picture of Albany Apartments. Physically, the property is described positively: units with attractive, practical layouts, accessible no-stair designs, open interior space and good natural light. The neighborhood and site-level attributes receive consistent praise — quiet surroundings, a sense of security, well-organized parking and reasonable pricing are highlighted. In-unit amenities such as a washer/dryer and well-lit common areas contribute to a generally favorable living environment for families and individuals seeking straightforward, accessible apartments.

Observations about staff and care-related interactions are mixed. Several accounts describe maintenance staff and on-site management as helpful and responsive when issues are addressed, and some reviewers explicitly recommend the property for families. At the same time, other comments point to inconsistent follow-through: maintenance requests that were delayed or left incomplete and variable responsiveness during move-in or handover processes. There is limited information about formal care services, dining, or organized activities; prospective residents should assume these areas require direct inquiry, as they are not well-documented in the available summaries.

Facility-level issues cluster around unit turnover and management processes. Multiple notes indicate move-in readiness problems — unfinished painting, outstanding repairs, unit cleanliness concerns, and visible unfinished work such as exposed wiring. A recurring operational weakness is appliance handling: examples include appliances not installed or not delivered despite charges. These items suggest gaps in the property’s turnover checklist, vendor coordination, and quality-control inspections prior to resident occupancy.

Management and administrative practices are the principal area of concern. The pattern in the feedback is one of uneven management performance: some residents experience well-managed operations, while others encounter mismanaged walkthroughs, unmet promises, and unclear billing or lease-related commitments. These inconsistencies point to process and communication gaps rather than a single type of facility deficiency.

For prospective residents or family members: perform a detailed, documented walkthrough before signing or moving in, confirm appliance delivery and installation in writing, verify that needed repairs and painting are complete, and request clear timelines for any outstanding work. Ask management for examples of recent unit turnovers, sample move-in checklists, and references from current residents about responsiveness. These steps will help clarify whether the property’s positive physical attributes are matched by reliable operational practices in a given unit or leasing period.

    About Albany Apartments

Albany Apartments sits at 33 N 58th Street in Mesa, AZ, and offers a senior living option where you can choose a one or two-bedroom floor plan, and the whole place runs as single-story townhome apartments so you don't need to worry about stairs, and each unit has its own washer and dryer, which does make laundry easier, though you won't find a dishwasher in these kitchens, but the kitchens themselves are all-electric and everything has central air and heating, and every apartment comes with ceiling fans and wood grain vinyl flooring, which is easy to clean. Some units are made accessible, and you can step out onto your own patio or balcony if you like fresh air, and residents have covered parking, which is convenient, and the whole community is pet-friendly so people who have a dog or a cat are welcome. The facility is managed by NorthStar Management and Consulting Inc., who seem to take care of things well, and residents have said the community stays clean and well maintained, and you can expect a quiet place where people live independently but also get support if they need help with things like bathing, dressing, or medication. Albany Apartments doesn't have a pool or dishwashers, but it does focus on helping make daily life easier for residents, with a staff that's committed to equal housing and resident satisfaction, and there are different amenities and some planned activities that try to keep people socially and mentally active, making it a simple, comfortable spot for seniors who want peace of mind and a stress-free living environment.
