    Welcoming affordable clean minor issues

I toured both sections and would move if a vacancy opens - the staff (Cynthia and Ms. Richardson) were friendly, helpful and welcoming. I was impressed by the spacious apartment layout, beautiful grounds, very clean facilities, on-site chapel/Bible study, activities, salon, exercise options, inexpensive laundry, weekly produce vendor and convenient bus/grocery access - rent felt affordable. My only concerns were occasional maintenance/trash issues, slow reception/gossip and limited security (no night guard/doors can be entered), but overall I loved the place and am awaiting a callback.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is mixed-positive: many reviewers praise staff friendliness, the cleanliness and presentation of the property, the chapel and spiritual programming, and a number of practical conveniences (affordable rent, inexpensive laundry, bus access, nearby shops). Multiple tours and prospective residents reported being impressed by unit and property layouts and described the grounds and communal areas as pleasant and well-kept. The community offers a range of amenities and activities—both onsite (chapel, Bible study, beauty salon, library, exercise options, weekly produce vendor) and offsite (bus to Walmart, outings and nearby senior center)—that residents appreciate.

Care quality and staff interactions are frequently cited as strengths. Numerous reviewers explicitly describe staff as friendly, helpful, eager to assist, and attentive; one staff member (Ms. Richardson) received individual praise. The director also received positive mention for being helpful during inquiries. These comments suggest strong day-to-day resident-facing service and a generally welcoming culture. However, there are some notable negative staff/management themes: a receptionist was described as gossiping, and some visitors experienced up to 20-minute waits. These reports point to inconsistent front-desk experience and occasional lapses in professional behavior or responsiveness.

Facility quality and apartment characteristics show both consistent positives and some recurring concerns. Many reviewers emphasize that the facility is clean, smells good, quiet, and well-maintained overall, and that unit layouts are attractive and feel spacious. At the same time, some reviews call attention to cleanliness problems—specifically that trash is not always cleaned up or dumped properly—and multiple maintenance issues, with “basic things broken” or “out of order” noted. Apartment interiors were generally liked, but a few reviews specified that bedrooms in some units are small. Several people praised the presence of clear, floor-level event notices and community space, which helps engagement.

Activities, spiritual life, and amenities are clear strengths. The community supports spiritual needs through an on-site chapel, church services, Bible study, and related programming. There are regular activities and choices for engagement, both on- and off-site, plus convenient transportation options (a bus stop and scheduled trips to Walmart). Amenities such as a beauty salon, library, exercise options, and a weekly produce vendor contribute to an appealing daily life for residents.

Dining and costs: reviews indicate the dining area is generally clean but small. A key practical point is that dining is not included in the rent, which some prospective residents may want to confirm and budget for. Rent is described as affordable overall, and laundry costs are noted as inexpensive—both clear positives for cost-conscious seniors.

Safety, maintenance, and management concerns are the most significant negative pattern. Several reviewers raised security issues: reports of no night security guard and claims that exterior or building doors can be entered from outside raise potential safety risks. These comments conflict with other reviewers who wrote that they feel safe and secure, indicating inconsistency in either perception or enforcement of security measures. Maintenance complaints recur (broken or out-of-order items), and there are operational cleanliness gaps (trash management). Taken together, these items point to areas where operational attention is needed to ensure consistent standards across shifts and buildings.

Availability and process: a few prospective residents reported positive tour experiences and interest in moving in, but also noted there were no current vacancies or they were awaiting callbacks—suggesting potential limited availability or a waiting list. That can be a logistical downside for people seeking immediate placement.

In summary, St. Paul Senior Living is consistently praised for its friendly and helpful staff, attractive grounds, meaningful spiritual programming, convenient transportation and shopping access, and a suite of useful amenities. The primary concerns to probe further if you are considering this community are security (night coverage and door access), the consistency of housekeeping and maintenance, dining costs, and current vacancy/waitlist status. Reviews suggest overall strong resident-facing service and facility appeal, but also reveal operational inconsistencies that warrant direct questions during a tour or lease process to ensure they align with an individual’s priorities for safety and maintenance.
