    Caring staff great food safe

I'm so glad we chose this place - the warm, friendly, long-tenured staff are genuinely caring and go above and beyond. The food is restaurant-quality (chef, bistro and dining room) and the apartments are bright, condo-sized with large kitchens, ample storage and a beautiful atrium. The building is clean, safe, and full of activities, with helpful shuttle/drivers, covered/valet parking and 24/7 desk support. It's a bit pricey but all-inclusive and community-oriented - I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive. Reviewers consistently emphasize the quality of the staff and leadership as one of the facility’s defining strengths: caregivers are described as caring, attentive, well-trained and long-tenured, with an engaged Executive Director and management team that set a positive culture. Many comments refer to “staff are the heart and soul” and praise personalized attention (daily updates, wellness packages and one-on-one care). Low turnover and veteran employees are cited repeatedly, which contributes to continuity of care and resident satisfaction.

The physical environment receives frequent praise. Five Star Premier Residences of Dallas is repeatedly described as non-institutional, bright and well-designed, with a large, sunny atrium that serves as a social hub. Apartments are characterized as roomy, condo-sized units with large living areas, well-equipped kitchens, abundant closets and pantry space — attributes that reviewers connect to a “vacation-like” or independent living feel. Cleanliness, quiet, good insulation and overall facility maintenance are called out positively, as are secure, covered parking and valet options.

Dining and food service are highlighted as a major positive theme. Numerous reviewers call the meals gourmet or comparable to a five-star restaurant, praise the chef and describe restaurant-style, made-to-order dining in an elegant dining room plus a bistro with lighter fare. At the same time, a minority of reviewers note the dining experience is not always up to the level of some luxury hotels — an observation that appears sporadically rather than as a dominant complaint.

Activities, social life and on-site services form another frequent theme. The community offers a robust calendar — entertainment, happy hours, Bridge club, exercise and PT classes, outings with shuttle service and drivers, and regular parties/celebrations. Reviewers repeatedly say making friends is easy and that the community reduces loneliness, indicating a strong social environment and active resident engagement. Onsite caregiving, physical therapy and wellness services are also noted positively, reinforcing the community’s suitability for residents who value easy access to clinical and rehabilitative care.

Location and logistics are described favorably: central location near major hospitals and family, helpful concierge and drivers, covered parking and good access. Many reviewers appreciated the personalized tours and concierge-level move-in support. Reviewers also mention the 24/7 front desk and security as contributors to a safe, reassuring environment for residents and families.

Areas of concern are relatively limited but important for prospective residents to consider. Cost comes up periodically — several reviewers describe the price as “a little stiff” despite many also calling rates competitive or fair for the level of service. Related financial items to note: some reviewers report the base package includes only two meals per day and that the move-in cost can be two months’ rent; these specifics matter when comparing to other communities and budgeting for total cost of living. Availability is another practical consideration: the community is often at or near full occupancy with a waiting list, so move-in timing can be delayed. Finally, while most comments about staff friendliness are positive, there are isolated remarks of lapses in friendliness; these appear to be exceptions rather than a pattern.

In summary, the reviews portray Five Star Premier Residences of Dallas as a high-quality independent living community with an emphasis on excellent staff, attractive non-institutional apartments, strong dining and an active social environment. Strengths include consistent, long-tenured staff, engaged leadership, a beautiful atrium and well-appointed apartments, extensive activities, and convenient onsite clinical services. Prospective residents should weigh a generally higher price point and clarify what meal and move-in fees are included in the rate, and be prepared for limited availability. Overall, the consensus among reviewers is that this community delivers a safe, welcoming, well-managed lifestyle with excellent amenities and a strong sense of community.
