    Friendly community with peaceful living

I'm very happy with this community: friendly, responsive staff, clean/fresh facility, comfortable well-laid-out apartments, great (healthy) food, lots of activities, and a peaceful, walkable neighborhood with 24/7 concierge - it really feels like home. Caveats: older building, limited parking, higher cost, and some inconsistency in assisted-care staffing, but overall I recommend it for independent living and the peace of mind it provides.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is positive, with particularly strong praise for the Independent Living experience at Lewisville Estates. Reviewers repeatedly highlight friendly, attentive staff and a clean, well-maintained facility. Apartments are described as good-sized and nicely laid out, and the community is noted for its welcoming, home-like atmosphere. Multiple mentions of two large courtyards, pet-friendly policies, and a quiet residential yet walkable location indicate strong appeal for residents who value outdoor space and proximity to downtown amenities. The presence of a 24x7 concierge and an organized staff contributes to a sense of security and peace of mind for families and residents.

Dining and activities are frequently cited among the community’s strengths. Many reviews praise the food as appealing and well-plated; several specifically note healthy, low-fat/low-salt meal options. At the same time there are a few mentions that meals have worsened over time, so prospective residents should verify current dining quality. Activity programming appears robust and social — reviewers cite arts and crafts, hallway cart visits, regular social time, and a variety of opportunities that help residents stay engaged and feel at home.

Staff quality is a major positive theme: reviewers often call staff helpful, pleasant, and responsive. However, a recurring concern is staff turnover and inconsistency among caregivers, which can affect continuity of care. Several reviews indicated that while Independent Living is excellent (one reviewer gave five stars for IL), the Assisted Living side received lower marks. A few families noted that the community may not adequately meet needs for residents who require more intensive care than Independent Living provides, and one comment explicitly said they “needed more care.” This pattern suggests the facility performs best for relatively independent seniors and that families should evaluate AL staffing levels and care plans closely if higher-level services might be needed in future.

Cost and facility age are notable practical considerations. Multiple reviewers described the community as expensive — in some comments “costs on par with similar residences,” while others called the price “out of range.” There are mixed impressions of value relative to cost. Additionally, the building was described by some as older or “not as new as expected,” which may influence expectations about finishes or modern amenities. Parking limitations were mentioned more than once, so prospective residents who drive should inquire about availability and visitor parking.

In summary, Lewisville Estates receives consistent praise for its atmosphere, cleanliness, social programming, and warm staff — making it a strong choice for Independent Living residents seeking community, activities, and peace of mind. Key caveats are price, potential parking constraints, building age, and variability in Assisted Living quality and caregiver consistency. Prospective residents and families should: (1) confirm the current state of dining and activity programming, (2) ask detailed questions about Assisted Living staffing, turnover, and care plans if higher care levels may be required, (3) verify parking arrangements and any additional fees, and (4) compare costs and included services to similar local options to assess overall value.

    About Lewisville Estates - IL

Lewisville Estates - IL sits in a family-friendly area and gives seniors a simple place to live with neighbors their own age who like to socialize, and folks will notice right off the bat that the place has a lot of natural light, tasteful decor, and comfortable areas where people can relax, play cards, or talk if they're in the mood. The community offers Independent Living and Assisted Living, and they have apartments where residents get separate bedrooms, living and dining spaces, kitchens or kitchenettes, and full bathrooms, and there are studios too with walk-in showers and closets, which makes it simple for people who need easier access. Staff and aides help with daily needs like bathing, dressing, or remembering medication, and families tend to feel better knowing there's someone around all day and night if residents need anything. Residents can bring their cats or dogs, and outdoor smoking's fine in the designated area, which people appreciate when they're looking for a place a little more like home that doesn't fuss too much.

There's always something to do, since the activity directors plan things like gardening clubs, music, fitness classes, outings to shop or have a meal, trivia games, card clubs, and even Wii bowling in the game room or bistro area, and people can join Bible studies or attend different religious services held on site. Most meals come from a professional chef in the open dining room, but there's room service too if somebody wants to stay in, and guest meals are available for visitors. Seniors like the main street shops inside, the beauty salon and barber shop, the computer and media center, and the comfy movie theater, along with places to read or sit outside if the weather's good. Spanish is spoken here, and every space, from private baths to common rooms, has features for folks with wheelchairs or walkers, including ground floor units and roll-in showers.

Transportation gets handled so residents can get to appointments or enjoy group outings, and there's plenty of parking if someone has a car, with public transit close by too. Housekeeping, laundry and linen service, and weekly cleaning keep things tidy without people needing to do chores themselves. Staff here, managed by Tarantino Senior Living Communities, have experience and handle care according to each person's needs, including memory care services when that's necessary, and safety systems give extra peace of mind. Seniors find plenty of chances to join programs, attend parties or BBQs, and take part in educational classes or art programs, and there are newsletters to keep everyone updated on news around the community. Everything's set up for comfort and social time, and the mix of independence and support lets people find the lifestyle that suits them best.
