Larchwood Inns is a skilled nursing facility that provides lodging and care for people with serious medical needs who need support after being in the hospital, after illness, or after surgery. The facility has more than 100 licensed beds, and in June 2025, 30 out of 130 beds were available. The staff includes local healthcare professionals and a dedicated team who offer care every day, around the clock, including help with daily tasks like bathing, dressing, medication, and moving from one place to another. The nursing team uses a 24-hour call system and gives 12-16 hour nursing services with supervision at all times. Rehabilitation services cover physical, occupational, and speech therapies, as well as IV therapy and swallowing therapy, and all are based on current evidence and adapted to personal needs with the latest equipment. There's an on-site gym made for seniors, plus restorative and recovery programs.
The staff aims to support residents' physical, emotional, spiritual, and social needs, and tries to create a caring, family-like atmosphere. Meals are prepared by a professional chef, served in a dining room with restaurant-style options, and the facility meets special diets, including for allergies and diabetes. Furnished rooms come with cable TV, kitchenettes, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, telephones, and private bathrooms. People can relax in warm common spaces colored with a classic palette or walk outside in the garden and along green pathways. Residents can take part in lots of activities, including bingo, music events, movie nights, fitness and exercise classes, outings, and religious services. There are community-sponsored programs, a game room, an activity room, a movie theater, a spa/wellness room, and music activities. The facility offers beauty salon and barbershop visits, helps with laundry and housekeeping, and coordinates moving in. Transportation is arranged for hospital trips and outings, plus parking and concierge services.
Larchwood Inns accepts Medicare, Medicaid, and long-term care payment options. Registered dietitians design meal plans to fit each resident's needs. Family and resident councils allow people to share concerns and ideas for improvements. Residents live with dignity and respect, and receive support for both short-term recovery and long-term care. The administrator is Melissa Latham. Larchwood Inns operates as a for-profit corporation and is part of CHCA District IV. More information is available on their dedicated website.
