    Clean, caring staff, welcoming home

I placed my loved one here and have been very pleased. The home is clean, well-kept and feels family-like - bright, spacious rooms and good meals in a welcoming dining area. Becky (who runs Grace), Robert and the 24/7 staff are attentive, caring and communicative; they supported recovery and hospice needs and gave our family real peace of mind, so I recommend this facility.

    Summary of reviews

Grace Assisted Living Home presents a mixed but informative picture for prospective residents and families. Many families praised the facility’s compassionate, resident-centered approach: staff are frequently described as attentive, warm, and willing to work with families and hospice providers. The home-like, small-group environment, 24/7 on-site staffing, and well-kept private rooms with natural light and large televisions are recurring strengths. Multiple reviewers specifically cited supportive, hands-on caregivers and named staff as sources of comfort and reliable daily care.

Clinical and day-to-day care are areas of both strength and variability. Several reviewers highlighted strong end-of-life and hospice-capable care, along with staff who proactively update families and help them understand behavioral changes. At the same time, there are patterns of inconsistent performance in key operational areas: night-shift responsiveness, timely medication administration, and incontinence-care routines were all sources of concern in separate accounts. These issues suggest variability in staffing continuity or shift-level supervision that can affect morning routines, medication timing, and personal-care needs.

Dining and social aspects are generally positive. Reviewers commonly praised meals and the dining experience, and some residents reported making friends and enjoying community life. Activity programming appears to exist but is sometimes described as unclear or unspecified; prospective families should ask for a current activities schedule and example programming to evaluate fit. Because the facility is small-group and residential in character, resident compatibility and placement matching were highlighted as important — suitability for a given resident may depend significantly on roommate dynamics and overall resident mix.

Facilities and maintenance are mostly noted as good: clean, well-maintained interiors, safe outdoor seating areas, and a secure perimeter were described positively. A few families, however, raised housekeeping and odor-control inconsistencies and cited areas that felt cluttered or dim; these indicate variable attention to facility upkeep in some spaces. Communication and management practices show both strengths and weaknesses. Some staff and managers are praised for open communication and family support, yet other reviews identify problematic phone-access practices, frequent changes to published contact numbers, and difficulties with caller identification. In addition, there are serious billing and refund concerns in several accounts, including difficulty obtaining refunds and broader allegations of financial misconduct; these are significant administrative issues that deserve direct inquiry and documentation during tours or contract review.

In summary, Grace Assisted Living Home appears to offer a caring, small-home environment with strong family-style relationships and good hospice support, making it a good fit for families prioritizing personalized attention and a homelike setting. However, variability in night-shift responsiveness, medication and incontinence-care practices, activity clarity, and administrative transparency (particularly around billing and telephone access) are recurring operational weaknesses. Prospective residents and families should tour the home, request written protocols for staffing and medication administration, review billing and refund policies in writing, and ask for current activity schedules and examples of how the home manages resident compatibility and night-shift coverage before making a placement decision.
