    About Huntington Beach Guest Homes

Huntington Beach Guest Homes has provided assisted living since 1988 in two homes right next to each other, keeping things very traditional and homely, so when you walk in, you really notice the family-like environment, with staff that treat everyone with warmth, care, understanding, and a good bit of love-much like you'd hope your own grandparents would get. The homes accept both ambulatory and non-ambulatory residents, meaning folks can come whether they're able to get around on their own or need some help, and the staff handles 24-hour care and supervision every day of the week, with live-in managers and trained caregivers who help with all the basics like bathing, dressing, transferring, and managing medications. There's a special focus on people living with dementia or Alzheimer's, with individualized memory care plans, activities that support cognitive health, and a safe, protected setting, but there's help for all sorts of needs, including short-stays for post-operative recovery, palliative care, hospice, respite stays, and even home health services when they're needed. Residents can get help coordinating their care, too, along with transportation arranged for medical appointments, visits from house-call doctors, and spiritual support, including both non-denominational and Catholic visits, which makes it all feel pretty well rounded if someone's looking for peace for both body and spirit. Each house has six beds and offers a mix of private and shared rooms-private rooms are good for those who want a bit more space, and master bedrooms suit couples-while the bathrooms are done up with safety in mind, adding roll-in access and grab bars. There's a backyard garden for some fresh air, a front porch and lawn if you feel like sitting outside, and inside there's a living room, a cozy dining area, and an activity room for games and gatherings, with a kitchen where home-cooked meals are made three times a day, always with dietary needs considered. The community provides telephone and Wi-Fi connections, a door alarm system for safety, and regular outings, social programs, and entertainment to keep life interesting, plus things like a fitness center, walking paths, and always a friendly face around. Staff take care of housekeeping, laundry, and daily chores as well, so residents don't have to worry about that. If someone's comparing costs, shared rooms start at about $4,200 a month, and private rooms start at around $5,200, with detailed evaluation tools and a Director of Community Data to help families check on quality and livability scores. This community doesn't accept Medicare unless it's certified by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, but it's licensed for residential care for the elderly and aims to offer a home for those needing anything from independent living and companionship to skilled nursing, therapy, or end-of-life comfort. Since everything's run by Huntington Beach Guest Homes I and II, LLC, and the goal is to nurture a real sense of home and friendship, many folks feel it's a sincere and caring option for seniors looking for safety, good company, and support in day-to-day life.
