    Attentive staff and beautiful community

I toured Clearwater/Clearbrook and chose it because the staff were attentive and professional - special thanks to Linda and Kaitlyn Rosen for being so knowledgeable and supportive. The community is beautifully designed and clean, with relaxed-luxury spaces, outdoor walking paths, shaded patios and a dog-friendly pub. Dining was excellent with fresh, varied options, residents looked happy and engaged, and the move-in was seamless with responsive, family-centered communication. I'm very pleased and would recommend this warm, welcoming community.

    Summary of reviews

Clearwater at North Tustin is consistently described as a newly built, hospitality‑oriented community with a relaxed luxury aesthetic and well‑kept grounds. Reviewers praise the facility’s design features — open common areas, shaded patios, walking paths with mature landscaping, an on‑site restaurant, dog‑friendly pub area and an on‑site chapel — all of which support social engagement and family visits. The dining program receives favorable comments for variety, fresh ingredients and an attractive dining room environment. Activities and programming are noted as engaging and varied, and the admissions/transition experience is frequently described as smooth and welcoming.

Caregiving staff are repeatedly characterized as kind, attentive and communicative with families; many families expressed gratitude for compassionate end‑of‑life support and day‑to‑day assistance. Small community size and individualized attention are seen as strengths for residents who benefit from close relationships with staff. The facility’s newer construction and contemporary practices contribute to a sense of comfort and modern amenity access.

However, a consistent operational pattern accompanies the positives. Staffing levels and stability are a recurring concern: the community is described as having a low staff‑to‑resident ratio, ongoing shortages, frequent turnover and reliance on outside agency staff. Those staffing dynamics are linked to gaps in clinical documentation, medication oversight and in some families’ perceptions of personal‑care consistency and sanitation standards. Reviewers also flagged that the community operates on a non‑medical care model with limited on‑site clinical capacity, which can be a mismatch for residents with progressive or complex medical needs.

Memory‑care perimeter controls and safety protocols were specifically questioned in connection with an escape incident; these concerns point to the need for clearer security and supervision policies for residents with wandering risk. Management and accountability also emerged as a mixed area: while some front‑line staff and admissions personnel drew praise for responsiveness and professionalism, other families noted inconsistent customer‑service tone, documentation shortfalls and frustrations with management’s responsiveness to staffing requests. Several reviewers contrasted the community’s premium pricing with these operational limitations.

In summary, Clearwater at North Tustin offers a high‑quality physical environment, strong hospitality features, appealing dining and a generally warm caregiving culture. Prospective residents and families should weigh those strengths against the facility’s current operational challenges—notably staffing stability, clinical documentation and memory‑care security—and confirm that the community’s clinical model and staffing levels match the prospective resident’s health and supervision needs before committing.

    About Clearwater at North Tustin

Clearwater at North Tustin offers seniors independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and continuing care retirement community services all in one setting, so people can get the support that fits their needs as they age and sometimes you've got folks who need a little help and some who need a bit more, and here they can stay on the same campus. The community can hold up to 124 residents and it's licensed by the state of California as License #306006040, and is also recognized in U.S. News & World Report's 2025 "Best Senior Living" ratings, which people notice these days. Clearwater at North Tustin has trained staff that work closely with families and doctors to create personalized care plans, which means everyone gets the attention they need, whether it's help with daily tasks, managing medication, or providing more complex nursing care, and memory care programming has activities and environments set up especially for those with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia, so those folks are looked after by people who know what they're doing.

The community provides 24-hour supervision and is wheelchair accessible and friendly for people who need help getting around, and there's plenty of spaces where folks can enjoy the outdoors, like walking paths, patios with BBQ grills, shaded places to sit, lots of greenery including olive trees, and there's a courtyard where you can take in a stage view, too. The dining room is called beautiful and then there's a dog-friendly pub, so residents can relax with their pets, and if someone wants to join group exercise, there's a fitness center for that. Residents have access to a chapel for spiritual needs and can sit outside on patio dining areas, and sometimes you see folks out in the lounge areas in the afternoon sun just taking it easy.

Clearwater at North Tustin covers short-term stays for those needing care for a little while, and offers help and resources for families and caregivers regarding senior living planning; they've got amenities and design features that try to make you feel at home with a relaxed but somewhat luxurious atmosphere, and the team is focused on giving support and making communication easy for everyone involved. The whole campus falls under Clearwater Living® and is near Orange County Global Medical Center, so medical help isn't far if needed, which often brings peace of mind. The community encourages independence while giving help with anything from daily tasks to more specialized medical needs and memory support, all through programs and services designed for seniors, and they do tours so visitors can see for themselves what daily life looks like.
