    Modern resort-style care, attentive staff

I moved my mom here and we're very happy - modern, immaculate, resort-style building with spacious apartments, pool, two gyms, great dining and nonstop activities. The staff are warm, attentive and proactive (smooth move-in, strong medical support and lots of follow-up), and the location is super convenient to shops, grocery and pharmacy. It's pricey and there have been a few service hiccups, but the safety, peace of mind and quality of care make it worth recommending.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews for Mirabelle are overwhelmingly positive, with the dominant theme being exceptional, compassionate staff and a high-end, resort-style living environment. Across dozens of summaries residents and family members repeatedly praise the warmth, professionalism, and attentiveness of caregiving teams, front-desk and concierge staff, and move-in coordinators. Multiple names recur as examples of standout employees (for example Dorinda, Vesh, Abel, Esmeralda, Ileana, Anna, Rick, Raquel, and Dariel), demonstrating that personalized, relationship-driven care is a consistent experience for many. Most reviewers describe moves as smooth and stress-free, often characterizing the process as a red-carpet welcome with hands-on help for setup and transitions from hospital or rehab to the community.

Care quality and staff: Reviews indicate strong competency across independent living, assisted living, and memory-care floors. Many reviewers singled out nurses, caregivers, fitness instructors, and memory-care staff as engaging, respectful, and above and beyond in responsiveness. On-site nursing, physical therapy, and in-home assistance were specifically noted as available and helpful; staff-to-resident ratios and responsiveness were described as good, giving families peace of mind. Several firsthand accounts emphasize dignity, individualized attention, and that staff learn residents names and preferences. At the same time there are isolated but serious negative reports — a few reviewers report rude interactions, disrespect from specific managers, or unhelpful responses to disability needs — so while staff quality is broadly praised, there are occasional problem spots.

Facilities and apartments: The physical plant and apartments receive near-universal praise. Mirabelle is described as new, modern, and immaculately kept, with large, well-lit apartments that include ample, fully equipped kitchens, in-unit washers/dryers, accessible bathrooms, and private balconies with notable views of Biscayne/ Miami. Shared amenities are resort-like: heated pool, multiple fitness areas (including pool classes and a trainer praised by name), theater, art room, salon, restaurants, learning center, and concierge/valet services. Maintenance and housekeeping are repeatedly commended for attention to detail and quick response. The overall impression from many reviewers is a high-end, hotel-quality building that supports active living.

Activities, social life and programming: A strong, varied activity calendar is a major selling point. Reviews list chair yoga, tai chi, bridge, current events, water aerobics, Rummikub, virtual bowling, pool classes, happy hours, live music, dance performances, and arts programs. Residents report abundant opportunities to make new friends and to remain active physically, mentally, and socially. Entertainment directors and activity staff receive praise for creative and engaging programming. Many reviewers highlight that their loved ones became more social and healthier after moving in, citing better eating, more exercise, and increased overall engagement.

Dining: Dining is a frequently discussed topic with largely positive reviews: many residents praise the chefs, variety, presentation, and special items (some reviewers note outstanding plates like handmade pasta and tiramisu). Dining service is often described as attentive and accommodating of dietary needs. However, there are recurring caveats: specific complaints include undercooked beef, inconsistent food quality in some cases, limited vegetarian options, and at least one report of food poisoning. These mixed notes suggest that while dining is usually a strength, prospective residents with strict dietary preferences or food-sensitivity concerns should probe menus and accommodation policies.

Management, logistics and safety: Management, onboarding staff, concierge, and transportation receive mostly strong endorsements for communication, proactivity, and helpfulness. COVID safety practices and motion-detection monitoring systems are cited as positives, contributing to family peace of mind. The location is valued for walkability to grocery stores, pharmacies, medical offices, and local shops. That said, there are non-trivial safety and management concerns reported by a small number of reviewers: problems with valet and parking (illegal parking and blocking sidewalks), at least one allegation of theft by valet staff, and an accessibility complaint for a wheelchair user. There are also scattered comments about disrespectful behavior by particular managers or employees and a few reports about unresolved concerns. These incidents are not the norm in the reviews but are significant enough that they should be verified during a visit and reference checks.

Cost, transparency and limitations: Several reviewers note that Mirabelle is an expensive, high-end option; many feel it is worth the price given amenities and staff quality, but others mention rising costs, additional fees for higher levels of care, and concerns about transparency in billing. A few reviewers reported problems with overcharges or refunds not returned. There is also a perception among some that the community functions primarily as an upscale independent living community with assisted and memory care available, rather than as a high-acuity assisted living facility — prospective residents with intensive care needs should confirm scope and limits of clinical services.

Patterns and recommendations: The dominant patterns are overwhelmingly positive staff interactions, high-quality and modern facilities, a broad and active social calendar, and generally strong clinical and support services. The main negative patterns are not systemic but are important: occasional poor staff interactions, parking/valet safety and security lapses, mixed reports on specific dining items and vegetarian options, and questions around billing transparency and true assisted-living capacity. For families considering Mirabelle, the reviews support expecting a premium, hospitality-driven senior living experience with robust programming and attentive staff. Recommended due diligence includes asking about parking/valet policies and security procedures, touring multiple meal options and discussing special-diet accommodations, verifying costs and fee structures in writing (including refund policies), and clarifying the exact level of medical and personal care provided for higher-dependency needs. Overall, Mirabelle is consistently recommended by residents and families who value a resort-like environment, active social life, and compassionate staff, while a minority of reviewers report serious isolated issues that warrant targeted questions during a visit.
