    Small homelike memory care respite

I left my mom here for respite and felt comfortable taking a vacation. It's a small six-resident, home-like place with continuous, one-on-one memory care from caring, hands-on staff who are extremely responsive. Bright, very clean, in a safe, quiet neighborhood with a lovely yard and screened porch - I recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall sentiment: Reviews for The House Of Cares are strongly positive and consistently emphasize personalized, attentive caregiving in a small, home-like setting. Multiple reviewers highlight that the facility houses only six residents, which reviewers correlate with one-on-one attention, continuous supervision, and a hands-on, loving approach from staff. The tone across reviews is that this is a bright, clean, and tranquil environment where residents are comfortable and families feel reassured about safety and care.

Care quality and staff: The dominant theme is high-quality, individualized care. Reviewers describe staff as attentive, caring, loving, and responsive; several explicitly say the staff provide one-on-one attention and are capable of managing memory care needs. Respite care is mentioned as a valued service, enabling family members to take vacations or errands while trusting that their loved one is continuously supervised. The host and caregiving team are repeatedly described as extremely responsive, which suggests strong day-to-day communication and reliability.

Facilities and environment: Physical descriptions emphasize a welcoming, bright, and clean home with spacious, light-filled rooms. Outdoor amenities such as a backyard, screened-in porch, and a spacious front courtyard are noted as pleasant and contribute to a tranquil setting. The facility is located in a safe, quiet, and lovely neighborhood that reviewers find suitable for walks and relaxation. Reviewers also note that residents appear happy and comfortable in the space, reinforcing the impression of a stable, pleasant residential atmosphere.

Safety, supervision, and suitability: Several reviews specifically cite safety and continuous supervision as reasons they entrusted the facility with a loved one. The small resident count is tied to this sense of safety and individualized monitoring. Memory care availability is explicitly mentioned, and reviewers indicate that the facility is suitable for people needing that level of care. The combination of attentive staff and continuous supervision is a recurring reason families say they would recommend The House Of Cares.

Limitations and concerns: Reviews contain very few negative points. The single recurring concern is about scent sensitivity related to cleaning products; at least one reviewer noted sensitivity to the scent of cleaners, which could be an issue for scent-sensitive residents or visitors. There is otherwise limited negative feedback in the provided summaries, suggesting high overall satisfaction. However, reviewers did not provide detailed comments about some operational areas — for example, there is little to no specific information in these summaries about dining/menus, structured activities or social programming, clinical/medical services beyond memory care, or the admissions/management process.

Recommendations for prospective families: Based on the review themes, The House Of Cares appears best suited for families seeking a small, home-like memory care or respite setting with highly attentive staff and strong supervision. Prospective families should verify details that were not emphasized in the reviews: ask about meal plans and dietary accommodations, the schedule and types of activities and therapies offered, staffing ratios and clinical oversight (medication management, nurse visits), and cleaning/housekeeping products or fragrance policies if scent sensitivity is a concern. Overall, reviewers highly recommend this facility for its cleanliness, caring staff, and tranquil, safe environment.
