    Spotless facility with caring staff

I'm very pleased with this facility - spotless, well-maintained, and comfortable, with a true at-home, five-star hotel feel. The staff are amazing: attentive, caring, compassionate, friendly and responsive, and they make residents feel safe and included. There are great activities and good meals (my family loved the hotcakes). I highly recommend it, though communication could improve and rooms could be a bit larger / some care areas need attention.

Reviewers consistently describe the staff as respectful, loving, compassionate, patient, and highly attentive to residents' needs. Multiple comments emphasize that staff are responsive, helpful, and easy to work with—attributes that reviewers link directly to good outcomes for their loved ones. The administrator and leadership are singled out as knowledgeable and approachable, reinforcing a sense that management is engaged and supportive.

Facility cleanliness and presentation are repeatedly noted as standout strengths. Descriptors such as clean, well-kept, clutter-free, and 5-star hotel-like atmosphere appear throughout the summaries, indicating that the physical environment contributes positively to resident comfort and family confidence. Reviewers indicate residents feel safe, at home, and well-cared-for, which suggests the community maintains both physical standards and an emotionally supportive atmosphere. The community is described as welcoming, inclusive, and friendly, factors that reviewers associate with good memory-care environments.

Programming and everyday living receive consistent positive feedback. Several reviewers point out that there are plenty of activities, and that meals are good—one specific example being enthusiasm for the hotcakes. The combination of engaging activities and well-prepared meals contributes to the perception of an active, comfortable daily routine for residents. The reviews also highlight organization and a sense of being well-run, which supports families who need reliable, predictable care for their loved ones.

While overwhelmingly positive, the reviews do identify a few recurring concerns. Room size is mentioned as an area for improvement by some reviewers who would prefer larger living spaces. A small number of comments suggest there is room for improvement in caregiving in specific instances, indicating that while care is generally exceptional, there may be occasional lapses or individualized needs that are not fully met. Communication is also noted as an occasional weakness—some families would like clearer or more consistent updates from staff or management.

The community's strengths are most pronounced in the compassionate, responsive care provided by staff and the well-maintained, welcoming environment. The primary areas to monitor or address are physical room size for residents, ensuring consistent high-quality caregiving for every individual, and strengthening communication channels with families. About The Gables Memory Care of Blackfoot

The Gables Memory Care of Blackfoot helps seniors with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and other memory loss problems by offering a place that's secure and focused on memory care. The staff understands the challenges that come with memory issues and they tailor their care plans to each person's needs, making sure every resident gets help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, taking medicine, and reminders for things like hygiene or using the bathroom, so that no one feels rushed or overlooked even when they tend to wander or have difficult behaviors. The facility's layout and features aim to reduce confusion and keep everyone safe, with secured buildings, emergency call systems, and technology like special bracelets to prevent wandering, which means family members can worry less about their loved ones getting lost or hurt. Friendly staff are around 24 hours a day with a nurse on site and a doctor on call, ready to help with medical needs-people who know how to offer gentle reminders and care for folks with both the physical and emotional changes that come with memory conditions.

Residents can enjoy private rooms-with their own bathrooms and the option to decorate or bring small pets-so the place feels homelike instead of like a hospital, and smaller home settings mean the staff get to know residents and their families on a personal level, allowing for more connection and dignity in care. Meals are provided, offering nutritious choices three times a day, and there's both restaurant-style dining and room service for those who'd rather eat in their rooms. The activity director keeps days lively with cognitive-focused programs, brain fitness, gardening, stretching, yoga, art classes, community service programs, music therapy, memory games, outings, and even pet activities for those who enjoy animals. Residents have access to spaces like outdoor and indoor common areas, a beauty salon, and places for devotional services, so life stays full and comfortable, no matter where someone is on their memory care journey.

Specialized tools and support are available for people who need help with things like diabetic care, insulin, or lifts and transfers, plus the facility can accept residents who may have bigger behavior issues or wandering needs that some places can't handle, and even offers services like hospice, respite care, and multiple levels of assistance, letting residents stay put as their needs change. Family members aren't left out either since there are support and education programs to help them understand what their loved ones are going through and how best to care for them or stay connected. Internet service, transportation options, and the freedom for residents to stay as independent as they can help everyone feel less restricted. The Gables Memory Care of Blackfoot tries to create a graceful, gracious setting, focused on respect, comfort, and a sense of belonging for every person who walks through the door.
