    Compassionate, attentive home-like senior care

I'm very pleased with the compassionate, attentive staff and the home-like, beautifully decorated facility. Communication is prompt - I get texts, calls and photos - and administration is responsive; my loved one's condition improved and he's even standing again. Meals are appetizing, the place is clean and peaceful, and residents are treated like family. I would recommend this facility for high-quality, caring senior care.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviews present a mixed but clear pattern: many families emphasize strong strengths in day-to-day caregiving, environment, and communication, while a subset of accounts describe operational and managerial issues that warrant attention. Positive comments focus on a home-like setting, visible pride in cleanliness and décor, and a staff that many describe as compassionate, friendly, and willing to go beyond baseline expectations.

Care and staff: Numerous reviewers praised direct-care staff for being caring, attentive, and responsive; descriptions include individualized attention, personal care, and occasions where residents showed clinical improvement. Communication practices such as text updates, phone calls, and photo-sharing were cited as helpful by families, and the presence of monthly physician checks was noted as a clinical advantage. However, reviews also indicate variability in staff behavior and responsiveness: while many staff are described as engaged and supportive, other accounts describe lapses in attentiveness and an impersonal tone. A small number of reviews included allegations of inappropriate managerial conduct and claims of poor treatment of employees, which can have downstream effects on morale and consistency of care.

Dining and activities: The facility receives mixed feedback on dining. Several reviewers described meals as appealing and taken with pride by staff, noting good presentation and encouraging dining experiences. Conversely, other accounts described inconsistent food quality and operational problems during meal service, including interruptions to meal assistance and delays in attending to residents at dining tables. These contrasting reports suggest variability in dining continuity and service practices at different times or shifts.

Facilities and atmosphere: The physical environment is frequently described as clean, well-decorated, welcoming, safe, and peaceful. Many reviewers appreciated the home-like décor and overall maintenance of common areas, which contributes to a reassuring atmosphere for residents and families.

Management and communication: Management was a clear area of divergence between reviewers. Positive notes highlight knowledgeable administrators and proactive communication, while critical feedback centers on an accusatory or power-focused managerial tone, inadequate communication about medication changes, and episodic lapses in responsiveness to family concerns. These management-related issues are presented as systemic traits rather than isolated events, and several reviews linked them to broader employee-relations concerns.

Notable patterns and takeaways: The predominant strengths are in hands-on caregiving, environmental upkeep, and family-facing communication tools. The predominant risks are variability in operational consistency—particularly around meal assistance, food quality, medication-change communication, and managerial tone. Prospective residents and families may find the facility strong in personal caregiving and environment but should ask targeted questions about dining-assistance protocols, medication-change notification procedures, staff training and supervision, and management practices to assess consistency across shifts.

    About Ashley Manor Memory Care

Ashley Manor Memory Care sits in a cozy, home-like setting designed for seniors with Alzheimer's, dementia, or memory loss, and with only nine units, residents get a quiet place that's easy to move around and keep track of, so they don't feel overwhelmed by big crowds or confusing hallways, and the staff knows every resident well, knowing what each person likes, what help they need, and how their days go best. Residents have private rooms with memory boxes outside each suite to help them remember where they live, and the layout of the building uses circular walking paths so everybody who likes to walk always ends up back where they started, which helps people who may sometimes wander or get confused. The doors and backyards are secured and there are high-tech alarm systems, so families can feel better knowing safety is a top concern, but residents still get independence to move about, visit the secured courtyard and backyard, and spend time on patios or walk the tranquil paths that wind through the grounds.

A full-time activity director provides a variety of activities, with everything from music and light therapy to reminiscing or aroma therapy, all meant to keep minds and bodies active in simple, joyful ways, and those who want a little company can spend time with friendly small pets who are allowed in the home. Staff includes a nurse on-site and 24-hour supervision by trained team members who help with all daily needs such as bathing, dressing, medication, and oxygen assistance, and they can also assist with behavior, incontinence, or any changes that may come up as someone's needs change over time. Meal times offer three home-cooked, nutritious meals a day plus snacks, and special diets can be made for those who need them, and the staff also takes care of laundry and cleaning, so residents don't have to worry about daily chores.

Ashley Manor Memory Care offers personalized care plans and special therapies for memory care, including programs for individuals with Alzheimer's or other cognitive decline, and they offer adult day programs and respite care for people who need care temporarily or during the day only. There's also spiritual support with onsite devotional services, visits from doctors, and support groups in the Resource Center for those dealing with Alzheimer's or other memory loss. The home is wheelchair accessible and has private or semi-private suites depending on what's available or needed, and the entire structure is all-inclusive so families know the cost beforehand without worrying about a bunch of extra fees along the way.

Ashley Manor Memory Care is associated with Ashley Manor Beverly Hills in Payette, ID, and is part of the Ashley Manor communities known for memory care, covering a wide range of support types, from independent and assisted living to skilled nursing, hospice, adult day services, and Medicare-certified home health care, all while focusing on dignity, compassion, and creating a peaceful present for each person, with the goal being to cherish every day, help each resident keep as much independence as possible, and support families throughout the process.
