    Caring staff but maintenance concerns

I toured/moved a family member here and overall I'm glad we did: the staff are overwhelmingly caring, friendly and responsive, activities are plentiful, and the chef/dining room get frequent praise. The building and grounds are generally clean and roomy with nice apartments and balconies, but I've seen maintenance and cleanliness lapses (dated rooms, moisture issues - even roaches/bed-bug reports), and food quality and management consistency can be hit-or-miss. It's great for independent seniors who want social connection and safety, but expect higher costs and bring some reservations about upkeep and coordination.

    About Holiday Hartland Hills

Holiday Hartland Hills sits in a quiet suburb of Lexington, surrounded by wooden fences and rolling countryside, and offers several kinds of care for older adults, from independent living to assisted living, skilled nursing, and memory care all in one place, so people can stay as their needs change. The grounds have lush gardens, craftsman-style architecture, and covered porches with rocking chairs for sitting outside, while inside, you'll find wide hallways, a multi-story lobby with comfortable seats, and a dining room with modern decor and lots of natural light. Residents can choose from studio, one-bedroom, or two-bedroom apartments, each with walk-in showers or bathtubs, individual heating and air conditioning controls, and large windows that let in plenty of light. The community lets people bring their pets and offers resident parking, making visits and outings easy. Home care agencies can come in to provide specific medical or non-medical support, while licensed nurses and aides can help with daily activities like dressing, bathing, toileting, and managing medications, with 24/7 emergency support available through wearable GPS devices if something comes up.

Housekeeping is included once a week, so residents don't have to worry about chores, and there are hotel-like extras like a salon on site, beauty and barber services, chef-prepared meals served in the dining room, and beverage services that include coffeehouses, tea rooms, ice cream shops, and cupcake bakeries both on property or nearby. The activity program is broad, with onsite and offsite social, educational, or recreational events, and the team works to make everyone feel involved. When people want to go out, there's scheduled transportation and access to shopping centers, restaurants covering many types of cuisine like Asian, Southern, pizza, or hamburgers, nightlife, and local tours, with many businesses nearby for extra convenience. The community has gyms, libraries, activity rooms, chapels, and both indoor and outdoor spaces for gathering, relaxing, and devotional services. Staff are trained to help residents enjoy daily life and make sure any medical or therapy needs are met, including physical, occupational, or speech therapies, and HomeWell Care Services® is available for skilled care like wound care, diabetes management, or rehabilitation after surgery. The apartments are age-restricted for people over 55, with many options for floor plans and rental rates, including new, spacious layouts that are easy to keep up.

Holiday Hartland Hills focuses on making life easier by handling meals, cleaning, and home upkeep, while residents can keep pets and maintain their independence as much as possible, and for people who want support with things like medication reminders or mobility, help's there without being intrusive. The grounds stay beautiful, the atmosphere is friendly, and prospective residents can take a scheduled tour to see if it's what they're looking for, while staff can help answer questions about care levels, how to get started, and what costs to plan for as needs change over time.
