    Warm staff and beautiful campus

I moved my mother into the cottages and couldn't be happier. The staff-especially Ashley-are warm, empathetic, and always answer questions with a smile; I have real peace of mind knowing she's well cared for. The campus is beautiful, residents are happy, and fun, inclusive activities (even goat yoga) make it feel like home.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the provided reviews for Gardens of Somerset is strongly positive, with repeated emphasis on staff warmth, resident satisfaction, attractive grounds, and a range of engaging programming. Multiple reviewers highlight the staff using terms like kind, empathetic, welcoming, authentic, friendly, and caring. These descriptors appear consistently and indicate that interpersonal interactions are a major strength; one reviewer even calls out a specific staff member, Ashley, who "answered questions with openness and a smile," which suggests accessible and effective front-line communication. Phrases such as "wonderful staff," "well taken care of," "awesome care," and "peace of mind" convey that families perceive clinical and personal care as reliable and comforting.

Facility and living environment are another clear positive theme. The campus and facility are repeatedly described as beautiful, and cottages are singled out as especially liked by visitors or moving families. The repeated use of "beautiful campus," "beautiful facility," and even "beautiful people" paints a picture of an appealing, well-maintained physical environment that contributes to residents' and visitors' overall positive impressions.

Programmatic offerings and community life receive several positive mentions that point to an active and inclusive lifestyle. Specific activities such as goat yoga and classes are noted, and reviewers mention inclusion and internship opportunities. These details indicate a community that prioritizes varied programming, novelty or experiential activities, and connections with broader community or educational partners. The combination of resident enjoyment, engaging classes, and internship opportunities suggests both internal activity programming and external partnerships or outreach.

Family experience and emotional outcomes are emphasized: reviewers mention that a parent or mother was excited about the move, that residents are happy, and that families feel peace of mind. Those phrases indicate that the community not only meets day-to-day needs but also delivers emotional reassurance to decision-makers and loved ones, an important factor in senior living choices.

Notable patterns and gaps: the review set is uniformly positive and focused largely on staff, atmosphere, facilities, and activities. There are no explicit negative comments in the summaries provided—no mention of dining quality, costs, accessibility, medical staffing ratios, wait times, transportation, medication management, or specific operational challenges. Because these domains are not discussed, potential movers or family members should treat the absence of criticism as a limitation of this review sample rather than evidence that challenges do not exist. The mention of an internship opportunity and open, smiling staff suggests proactive management and community engagement, but there is no direct commentary about administrative responsiveness to problems, long-term clinical outcomes, or regulatory performance.

In summary, the reviews portray Gardens of Somerset as a warm, attractive, and well-run community with particularly strong interpersonal care, appealing facilities, and lively programming. Families and residents appear satisfied and reassured, and specific positives—friendly staff (including identified staff members), beautiful grounds, loved cottages, inclusive activities like goat yoga, and internship opportunities—stand out. To form a fully rounded evaluation, prospective residents should supplement these positive impressions with targeted questions or site visits focused on areas not covered here (dining, clinical care specifics, staffing levels, costs, and any recent inspection reports) to confirm that the strong qualities reflected in these reviews extend across all operational areas.

    About Gardens of Somerset

Gardens of Somerset is an assisted living community that sits on 18 acres and offers several different kinds of places to live, including independent living cottages, independent and assisted living apartments, and memory care apartments, plus the buildings have some two-story features which give the place a bit of interesting architecture, and you'll find both 1-bedroom and 2-bedroom units. The community has safety features like sprinkler systems and handicap features, and every living space gets its own washer and dryer as well as cable TV. Upkeep is handled by maintenance staff, and residents don't have to worry about laundry or housekeeping. For meals, residents can eat in the dining rooms, and there's kitchen or kitchenette access if you want to cook yourself. You'll see both fitness centers and spaces for games or arts and crafts, and the fitness and recreation amenities include walking paths through well-kept gardens, which makes the place feel peaceful and gives people a reason to get outside and enjoy the property. The staff helps with personal care, including bathing, toileting, and getting residents from place to place, whether that's walking or using a wheelchair. Memory care is there for those who need the extra help, and nursing and medication management are on hand if someone needs it, along with wound care and podiatry services, so you're covered for most health needs, and occupational therapy is provided, too. Seniors who like keeping up with friends or learning new things can join in on social activities, fitness classes, arts and crafts, or take part in education programs, and there's a focus on gardening, cooking, exercise, and family events in the calendar of activities. The campus has WiFi, guest parking, and comfortable common areas so it's easy for families to visit or for residents to spend time with each other. Transportation services are available to help get residents where they need to go. The place accepts long-term care insurance, and pets are welcome, which gives residents some comfort and company. Gardens of Somerset is inspired by P. Allen Smith's Moss Mountain Farm, so there's a focus on a sensory-rich space and lots of gardening supplies and natural beauty, and the whole place tries to feel like a supportive, caring community where people have options, whether they want independent living, assisted help, or memory care. They take pride in compassionate care without forgetting about things that add to daily comfort, like good food, activities, and having a safe, home-like setting.
