    Unsafe care, neglect, poor management

I had a few compassionate CNAs who helped my loved one regain strength, but overall my experience was terrible. Nursing care was inconsistent and unsafe-meds were often mis-timed or missing (antibiotics ran out), staff communication was poor, and cleanliness was unacceptable (dirty shared bathroom, old pad on the floor). I saw neglect, high turnover, a bad fall with internal bleeding, a patient death, rude management, and even retaliation against staff who spoke up. Do not recommend.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the provided reviews is mixed but leans toward significant concern. Several reviews describe positive, compassionate care experiences—particularly praising certain CNAs and at least one rehabilitation outcome in which a resident regained full function quickly. However, an equal or larger number of reviews raise serious, recurring issues related to clinical care, medication management, cleanliness, staffing stability, and management conduct. The divergence in experiences suggests inconsistent quality of care between shifts, units, or individual staff members.

Care quality and clinical safety are the dominant negative themes. Multiple reviewers report poor nursing care and negligent practices around medication: inconsistent dispensing, unsafe timing, and at least one report that necessary antibiotics were not available or "ran out." Reviewers also allege severe adverse events including an internal bleed, a bad fall, and a patient death; these are presented as reviewer-reported incidents rather than independently verified facts. There are also allegations of neglect and abuse. Taken together, these reports point to potential lapses in clinical oversight, medication management protocols, and timely monitoring of residents.

Staffing and staff behavior are portrayed in a polarized way. On the positive side, several reviews single out CNAs and other staff as caring, effective, and well-liked by residents. On the negative side, reviewers describe high staff turnover, reports that a staff member who blew the whistle was fired (suggesting possible retaliation), a nurse manager characterized as rude and unprofessional, and at least one account of a CNA becoming injured and being treated poorly afterward. There are also complaints about lack of communication among staff, which compounds worries about coordinated care and family updates.

Facility condition and hygiene are specific, recurring concerns. Cleanliness issues are explicitly mentioned: a dirty shared bathroom and an old pad left on the floor are called out in reviews. These kinds of environmental lapses raise infection control and dignity concerns for residents and undermine confidence in routine care practices.

The reviews provide little to no detail about dining, activities, or programming; therefore no substantive conclusions can be drawn about the quality of meals, recreational offerings, or social programming from this dataset. The absence of comments in these domains is notable and means prospective families should ask directly about them during visits.

Management and organizational patterns emerge as a notable area of concern. Allegations of whistleblower firing and reports of unprofessional managerial behavior suggest organizational culture and leadership issues that could affect staff morale and retention. High turnover, combined with inconsistent care reports, indicates systemic issues rather than isolated staff problems.

In summary, the facility elicits a wide range of experiences: some families and residents describe compassionate, effective care—especially from particular CNAs—while other reviewers report serious clinical, safety, cleanliness, and management failures. The pattern is one of inconsistency: positive individual caregivers exist, but there appear to be systemic issues affecting medication administration, communication, environmental cleanliness, and leadership. Prospective residents and families should proceed with caution, seek up-to-date state inspection reports and complaint histories, perform an in-person tour focused on medication procedures, staffing levels, infection control, and incident reporting, and ask direct questions about whistleblower protections and staff turnover to better assess current conditions.
