    About New Beginnings Assisted Living

New Beginnings Assisted Living, also called New Beginnings Residential Care and Assisted Living Facility, has a small and close-knit community with only 8 beds, which means people get more personalized attention, and you can choose from smart apartment layouts, studios, or fully equipped apartments, even some private or semi-private rooms, all with emergency alert systems, phones, and furnishings to make the place feel safer and more comfortable. The staff includes about 10 employees, and the management team features Ms. Tammy Trask as Manager and Mr. Marvin Delvalle as Principal, and you'll find that folks here provide 24-hour supervision and care, including things like medication management, help with bathing and dressing, transfers, mobility help, and continence management for those who need it, as well as specific non-ambulatory care for residents with bigger health or movement needs.

You'll see health assessments by an RN and ongoing health monitoring, and the facility coordinates care with local doctors at Milo Family Practice and Mayo Regional Hospital, covering assisted living and more specific care like Alzheimer's care, Parkinson's care, memory care, and even some rehabilitation services. All utilities are included, so residents don't have to worry about extra bills, and there's always someone to help with housekeeping, laundry, and providing meals that accommodate allergies or diabetes, or other special diets, with planned scheduled meals and all-day dining.

The building includes a large library, a beauty salon, exercise equipment, games and entertainment room, and things like computer classes and fall prevention classes to keep folks engaged and safer. Outside you'll find walking trails, garden spaces, serene paths, and large balconies, making for a peaceful setting. They offer arts and crafts, movie nights, and community-sponsored activities to encourage socializing, plus a resident dining hall and a transportation service for when residents need to go out for appointments or events.

Residents receive personalized service assessments so care can be tailored to individual needs, and for those moving in, there's coordination to help them settle in. The community believes in helping people keep their independence as much as possible, while providing the support they need. It operates as an LLC, has two locations, follows rules set by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, is not BBB accredited but has an A+ BBB rating, and offers adult family home services, all with the goal of supporting elderly residents in a clean and welcoming environment.
