    About Loving Care

Loving Care sits on Simms Avenue in Baltimore and offers assisted living and memory care in a small community for only four residents, so folks aren't dealing with crowds or feeling lost, and there's a real focus on knowing everybody's routines and what kind of help they need with things like bathing, dressing, and moving around, and there's always somebody available for 24-hour supervision and support, including medication management and coordination with outside health professionals if that's needed, and a regular nurse and nurse practitioner check in as part of the caregiving team, plus visiting therapists like podiatrists and speech therapists come by when necessary. Residents can pick either private or shared suites, with private bathrooms, kitchenettes, and air-conditioning, and rooms already come furnished but there's space for favorite things, which is nice because having little reminders of home matters, and just about every bedroom's got cable TV, Wi-Fi, and a telephone if folks want to chat or watch their shows.

Meals are home-cooked three times a day using organic ingredients when possible, and the kitchen can handle special diets such as diabetes or food allergies, plus snacks are always on hand if anyone gets peckish; every meal's served in the dining room and people are encouraged to socialize if they'd like, and every two weeks the residents take outings to restaurants nearby, which helps keep things interesting. Loving Care's got daily housekeeping and laundry services-including dry cleaning if that's ever needed-and there's even a visiting beautician for some pampering and personal care. The staff helps with everything from shopping and organizing moves to arranging rides for doctor's appointments, and there's transportation and parking right on the property.

There are indoor lounges, lots of light, a large farm-style porch where people often gather, and an outdoor garden with walking paths for fresh air, not to mention planned offsite trips for a change of scenery here and there, as well as daily group activities that could be anything from gentle exercise or arts and crafts, to religious gatherings and Bible groups, movie nights, or community events. Pet therapy visits are scheduled often enough to lift everybody's spirits, plus structured routines and reminders help those who need extra memory support, and there's a 24-hour call system so anyone can get help night or day. The setup at Loving Care lets older folks lead as independent a life as they can while knowing someone's close by to lend a hand when needed, and with only a few people around, staff can keep up with everyone's care plans, making sure each person gets the help, meals, and activities that suit them best, and with access to area parks, pharmacies, hospitals, and restaurants, everything people might need is close at hand.
