    Spotlessly clean welcoming attentive caregivers

I toured this lovely, spotlessly clean home and felt immediately welcomed. The caregivers are attentive - fresh meals daily (breakfast prepared), beds made, residents dressed, and my mother is eating better and truly feels cared for; they even offer small activities like manicures. I highly recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Overall impression: Reviewers describe Family Home Care II as a small, home-like facility with a clear emphasis on personal attention and basic comforts. Strengths that recur include hands-on, attentive caregiving, regular housekeeping, and meals prepared fresh on-site. At the same time, families note operational limits such as occupancy and cost, and mixed experiences with activity offerings.

Care and staff: Multiple accounts emphasize caregivers who take time with residents and who are perceived as caring and respectful; families reported morning routines (breakfast preparation, beds made, residents dressed) being handled reliably. Visitors described a welcoming reception and willingness by staff to show the home. There were no substantive allegations about staff conduct in the summaries provided; however, one family indicated the setting was not an ideal fit for their mother, suggesting the facility may suit residents with lower or moderate dependency needs rather than those requiring more intensive clinical support.

Dining and routines: Dining is widely identified as a positive. Reviewers cited freshly cooked daily meals and improved appetite for some residents. Morning routines and basic personal-care support were described as consistent, contributing to residents appearing well-fed and content.

Activities and social programs: Descriptions of activities are mixed. Some reviewers mentioned personal grooming and social options such as manicures, indicating pockets of engagement and attention to quality-of-life items. Other comments pointed to a lack of activities, suggesting programming may be limited or inconsistently scheduled. Prospective families should clarify current activity schedules and how programming is adapted to individual interests.

Facilities and management: The home-like environment was repeatedly praised for cleanliness and upkeep; beds and common areas were described as tidy. A few notes indicated clutter in portions of the house, which suggests variable organization in some areas. Operationally, reviewers encountered capacity limitations (no openings) when seeking placement, and affordability was a recurring concern—some families described the service level as well managed but priced beyond their budget. The admissions experience itself was generally positive, with staff providing tours and welcoming visitors.

Notable patterns and recommendations: The pattern across summaries is of a facility that provides attentive, home-style care with good meal service and a clean environment, but that may have limited activity programming, occasional cluttered spaces, and constraints related to availability and cost. Families should assess whether the facility’s level of care matches the prospective resident’s medical and dependency needs, verify current activity offerings, confirm bed availability, and review fee structures to determine affordability before deciding.
