    About D & G Homecare I

D & G Homecare I is a small assisted living community with 8 beds for elderly residents who want help with daily living but also value their own space, and each resident gets a private suite with a private, handicap-equipped bathroom, walk-in shower, and the whole place sits all on one floor and is built in a rancher-style way without any stairs, which is good for folks who need easy access and can't do steps, plus you can personalize your own room, and there are outdoor gardens, walking paths, and five-acre lots that make it feel more spread out and home-like. Residents get three home-cooked meals a day, and snacks are always available, and you can ask for meal plans that fit special diets like those for diabetes or high blood pressure, and you can choose to eat whenever you want in the all-day dining room or even outside, and there's a big focus on keeping things organic and family-like so folks feel at home. The staff is trained and certified, including delegated nurses and medication technicians on site around the clock, and they help with bathing, clothing help, transfers, and other daily needs, plus they keep up with medication management, and some are called certified medication associates who help manage prescriptions. The facility offers memory care and hospice care, and also has short-term or respite stays if someone just needs help for a little while, and there's a pharmacy partner to make managing medicine a bit simpler, and staff provide transportation to doctor appointments, faith-based outings, shopping, and other outside visits. D & G has a strong COVID-19 prevention plan, and every room has landline telephone, Plus Direct TV and internet-so folks can get ahold of family and friends or just watch what they want-while the community itself provides scheduled daily activities, fitness programs, music and animal therapy, tabletop games, outdoor trips, cultural programs, literary and art projects, religious services, and even Veterans Affairs help. Amenities include areas for games, a book room, a garden, accessible parking, a jacuzzi, a sauna, and a fitness room, plus there's a salon and places for outdoor or communal dining, and the building is always smoke-free and watched by safety cameras, with emergency alert systems in place for residents' safety. Housekeeping and laundry come included, so folks don't have to worry about chores, and visiting hours go from 9 am to 5 pm every day, and if someone needs to pay rent they can use check or credit card, plus there's private-pay and financial aid options, with all-inclusive monthly fees ranging from $3,500 to $8,000 depending on care levels. James Jackson's been the Executive Director for over ten years, and Ezo Sahin, the Facility Director, has been there more than eight years too. D & G Homecare I takes people at Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3, and gives what's needed in a way that's straight-forward and respectful, with everything set up for comfort and safety, and all the usual care like daily help, medication, and activities-while making space for quiet time, group gatherings, and outside fun, all on a flat, easy-to-get-around property.
