    Warm community with caring staff

I live here and overall I'm very happy - the staff are outstanding and kind (Miss Jessie, Miss Cherie, Miss Kenya, Miss Katie), the place is clean with well-kept grounds, lots of activities (bingo, exercise, shopping) and home-style meals. Apartments vary - some are spacious and secure, others are small with hospital-style lighting and tight for furniture. Negatives: occasional maintenance/staff lapses, smoking/cigarette litter, and rent increases. Despite that, care is excellent and the community feels warm; I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is predominantly positive, with a strong emphasis on excellent, caring staff and a warm, social community. Many reviewers singled out specific caregivers by name and described staff as attentive, kind-hearted, and professional. The community is repeatedly described as clean and well-kept, with well-maintained outdoor grounds and pleasant common spaces like dining areas, a large TV, and an aquarium. Several reviewers explicitly recommend the facility and say they are very happy with the level of care.

Care and staff: The single most consistent strength is staff and the quality of resident care. Multiple reviews use words like "very caring," "outstanding," and "professional" when describing nurses, aides, and administrative staff. Specific staff members (Miss Jessie, Miss Cherie, Miss Kenya, Miss Katie) were named in praise, which underscores a pattern of strong individual relationships between caregivers and residents. While the trend is strongly positive, there are a minority of comments about negative staff behavior and isolated management concerns. These are not the majority view but are significant enough to note as potential variability in experience.

Facilities and apartments: The facility is described as clean and secure, with both indoor and outdoor areas kept in good condition by many accounts. Reviewers frequently mention nice dining and social spaces and note that the facility provides a continuum of living options. However, there is clear variability in apartment size and layout: some residents report spacious, comfortable one-bedrooms, while others describe small rooms with hospital-style lighting and insufficient space for a bed plus seating. The building’s age also shows through in some comments — a few reviewers describe a nursing-home ambience or say the facility is "older" and "not as nice as expected." Practical issues such as a difficult furniture move-in setup and some maintenance lapses (reports of staff smoking on site, cigarette butt litter, and trash piling) should be checked during a visit.

Activities and dining: Social programming is a frequent plus. The community appears to offer a wide range of activities — bingo, cards, dominoes, shopping trips, many events, regular exercise classes, and onsite services like a beauty parlor — and several reviews emphasize busy, active residents and lots of interaction. That said, activity levels are reported inconsistently; a couple of reviewers felt residents were not very active. Dining receives generally favorable comments describing home-cooked meals and some reviewers say meals are "very good" or "fantastic." There are, however, mixed reports about meal consistency and a notable comment that only one meal a day may be provided, which prospective residents should clarify with management.

Costs, management, and other patterns: Price is often described as affordable or competitive, and some reviewers say the community is a good value. At the same time, rent increases were explicitly mentioned as causing some residents to move, indicating potential future cost pressures. Overall, the dominant pattern is of a community where personal care, friendliness, and social life rank high, while aesthetic and logistical issues (older building, variable apartment sizes, occasional maintenance or staff problems, rent increases) are the main caveats.

Recommendation and next steps for prospective residents: Based on the reviews, Trinity Place appears best suited for seniors who prioritize compassionate, consistent caregiving, an active social program, and a friendly community at an affordable price. Prospective residents and families should tour in person to assess apartment size and layout (verify square footage and lighting), ask about the meal schedule and meal quality, inquire about recent maintenance or smoking-policy enforcement, and discuss how rent increases are handled. Also ask for current activity calendars and speak with residents or family members to confirm the day-to-day atmosphere and any recent management changes. Overall, the reviews present Trinity Place as a well-regarded option with strong staff and community strengths, tempered by some facility-age and operational issues that deserve direct verification during a tour.
