    Caring clean convenient welcoming community

I placed my mom at Provision Hattiesburg and have been very pleased - attentive, caring staff; delicious, varied meals; clean, home-like apartments; and a lovely courtyard. Activities and amenities (bingo, music, fitness, salon, therapy) keep residents engaged, it's pet-friendly, and the location near hospital and shopping is convenient. The community feels welcoming and resident-focused - I would recommend it.

    Summary of reviews

Crescent Landing at Hattiesburg elicits a broadly mixed but strongly polarized set of impressions. Many reviewers praise the facility's caregiving strengths: direct-care staff are frequently described as caring, attentive, and personable, and nursing and therapy resources are cited as helpful for appointment coordination and rehabilitation. Memory-care programming, when functioning well, is noted for engagement and a secure courtyard environment. The community's location adjacent to medical services, pharmacies, and shopping is a consistent practical advantage for families.

The physical environment and amenities are commonly regarded as positive. Apartments are repeatedly praised for thoughtful layouts that separate sleeping and living spaces, generous closet space, and a homelike feel rather than a clinical one. Common areas are described as clean, and on-site services such as a salon, gym, library, movie room, and laundry contribute to a resident-centered daily life. Renovation work is underway in places, which some reviewers view as an improvement; however, that same renovation activity is paired in other comments with episodic maintenance shortfalls.

Dining and activities are a notable strength for many residents. Several reviewers report varied menus, enjoyable meals, and frequent social programming—bingo, music groups, card games, movies, and chair exercise are listed regularly. Activity staff and programming receive positive remarks for keeping residents engaged. At the same time, there are recurring statements about inconsistent food quality and occasional service lapses; prospective families should consider sampling meals and asking about kitchen and dining staffing during a tour.

Operational and leadership issues are the primary source of negative feedback. Communication and administrative consistency emerge as themes: reviewers describe unclear or inconsistently enforced visitation and entry procedures, difficulty with door access systems, and variable responses from office staff. Concerns about staff conduct range from poor communication tone to allegations of gossip and argumentative behavior among administrative personnel. A number of comments suggest uneven staffing levels—particularly in memory care and during certain shifts—which can affect supervision and responsiveness.

Cost and credibility concerns appear across the feedback. Some families find the pricing appropriate for the amenities and support offered; others consider the cost high relative to their experience of care or responsiveness. More serious allegations—including discriminatory conduct by staff and questions about the authenticity of some positive online postings—appear in the record; these are significant issues to raise directly with leadership and, if appropriate, regulatory or ombudsman resources.

Overall, Crescent Landing presents many operational strengths that appeal to families seeking a well-appointed, activity-rich environment close to medical services, with a generally caring staff and comfortable apartments. At the same time, patterns of inconsistent communication, variable supervision in memory care, intermittent maintenance problems, and questions about administrative behavior suggest areas to probe during a visit. Prospective residents and families should request a recent staffing and inspection summary, meet both care and administrative personnel, ask for sample menus and activity calendars, and clarify visitation, personal-item, and grievance policies before making a placement decision.
