    Excellent Alzheimer's care and rehab

I placed my mom here and I'm very pleased. The facility is beautiful and spotless, the staff and caregivers are kind and polite, and the on-site doctors, excellent rehab and therapy helped her work on walking. Meals are delicious, crafts and dining services are available, and they're experienced with Alzheimer's and good about family communication. It's expensive, but the top-of-the-line, caring staff make it worth recommending.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the assembled reviews is strongly positive. Reviewers repeatedly highlight excellent, compassionate care and a well-run facility. Comments emphasize that residents are happy, well cared for, and that the facility is clean and fresh. Several reviewers explicitly recommend the center, indicating a high level of satisfaction overall.

Staff and care quality emerge as the most consistent strengths. Multiple reviews call staff "wonderful," "caring," "polite," and "very nice people," and describe the caregiving team as kind and attentive. Clinical strengths noted include focused rehabilitation (specifically rehabilitation aimed at helping a resident regain walking ability) and the presence of on-site physicians or medical staff, which reviewers cite as a plus. Reviewers also single out the staff's understanding of Alzheimer's care and the provision of excellent care for memory-related needs. Good family communication is mentioned, suggesting staff and management keep families informed about residents' status and care plans.

The facility and amenities are another prominent positive theme. The building and grounds are described as beautiful, "top of the line," and offering more amenities than many other facilities. Cleanliness is repeatedly mentioned — reviewers call the facility clean and fresh — which supports the perception of a well-maintained environment. Activities such as crafts are offered, and therapy services are available on-site, indicating a combination of social and rehabilitative programming. Dining receives favorable comments as well: meals are described as delicious and dining services are noted as available.

Management, billing, and access are touched on in a few reviews. Acceptance of Medicare/insurance is explicitly mentioned, which may ease transitions for some families and residents. At the same time, the only recurring negative point across the summaries is cost: reviewers describe the pricing as expensive. That single concern is consistent with other signals in the reviews that the facility is higher-end (more amenities, on-site doctors), which often correlates with higher fees. No other significant or recurring operational or care-related complaints appear in the supplied summaries.

In summary, the reviews portray North Pointe Health Rehabilitation Services as a high-quality, well-maintained facility with strong clinical and rehabilitative capabilities, compassionate and communicative staff, and attractive amenities including good dining and regular activities. It appears particularly well suited for residents needing focused rehabilitation and for those with memory-care needs, given reviewers' references to Alzheimer's understanding and on-site medical support. The primary caveat is cost: reviewers note the facility is expensive, so prospective residents and families should weigh the higher price against the level of care and range of amenities described. Overall, for families prioritizing clinical competence, cleanliness, robust amenities, and good communication, the facility is consistently recommended by reviewers; for those where cost is a major constraint, the price may be a limiting factor.

About North Pointe Health Rehabilitation Services

North Pointe Health Rehabilitation Services sits at 211 Windmill Drive in Meridian, Mississippi, and has sixty private rooms, which is nice for anyone who likes quiet and space, and you'll find the place easy to move around in since everything's built to help folks with wheelchairs or walkers or anyone who needs extra support, and it's got a state-certified Alzheimer's unit with fifteen beds for people who need memory care. The building's on the newer side, about seven years old, and there are two courtyards-one for the dementia and Alzheimer's unit and a large gated yard with a gazebo-where residents can spend time outdoors, while inside there's a theater room with a big 70-inch TV and free Netflix, a game room, and several big sitting areas if you want to visit with others or just relax.

You'll see a fitness center, a therapy gym, and a salon and barbershop right in the facility, so residents don't have to travel for those services, and meals come from a dining room with a Baby Grand piano and a registered dietitian who plans out soups, main dishes, salads, and desserts, making sure meals suit specific health needs. There's a full staff of personal care assistants, nurse practitioners, and in-house providers for nursing, physician visits, therapies, social activities, and more-including podiatry, dental visits, monthly pharmacy reviews, and even hospice and palliative care when needed, plus management for things like diabetes and dialysis. The team creates personalized care plans, especially for those with dementia or Alzheimer's, and makes sure to go over everything during move-in so residents and families understand the levels of care, contracts, and any waitlist rules.

The place is Medicare and Medicaid certified, takes Humana and United Health Care Insurance, and aims to help those who need both short-term rehab-like after a stroke or hospital stay-and those needing long-term care, since there are in-house physical, occupational, and speech therapies, restorative care, stroke recovery programs, fall safety, balance and gait training, and community transition training for getting back to home or another setting. The memory care program has activities planned by certified staff, and everyone can join in arts and crafts, educational groups, health and wellness programs, or social outings, and wifi's free, so families can call or visit virtually-especially important when people can't come in person.

You'll find extra touches like in-house laundry and dry cleaning, housekeeping, maintenance help, kitchenettes in the rooms, cable TV, washers and dryers for personal use, and guest parking. Safety's a big focus with sprinklers and backup emergency generators. North Pointe Health Rehabilitation tries for a homelike setting, welcoming everyone and making sure residents are treated respectfully and thoughtfully, focusing mainly on rehab but with some long-term support too, and they were built to serve the older folks in this area since there's a good-sized senior population around Meridian and Marion.
