    Delicious meals, clean, attentive staff

I'm very pleased - my mom loves the home-cooked meals (chefs six days a week) and the appealing, varied menu. The apartments, rooms, and common areas are beautiful, clean, and homey, staff are attentive and flexible, and it's in a convenient location. Activities are limited but staff actively engage residents; I'd recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews for Viljoya Enhanced Independent is clearly positive, with consistent praise for the people, the food, and the physical environment. Multiple reviewers call out the staff as attentive and great, and several comments indicate family members or residents enjoy living there and would recommend the community. Cleanliness, attractive decor, and a homey atmosphere are recurring themes, as are well-appointed apartments and appealing common areas.

Care and staff: Reviewers emphasize attentive care and positive interactions with staff. The consistent mention of “great staff” suggests staff behavior and responsiveness are standout strengths. The comments that residents (or the reviewer’s mother) “enjoys” the community and that it is “recommended” point to an overall trust in the caregiving and support provided by the team. Specific operational details about management or administration are limited in the reviews, but the repeated praise for staff and the note about flexibility imply staff and leadership are accommodating to resident needs.

Dining: Dining is a clear highlight. Reviewers repeatedly describe the food as great and home-cooked, with chefs working six days a week. The menu is described as appealing with good variety. Those direct statements indicate a strong culinary program that is both frequent and varied enough to satisfy residents and families. The presence of on-site chefs and multiple mentions of home-style meals suggest dining is an important and well-executed feature of the community.

Facilities and apartments: The physical environment receives frequent positive remarks: clean spaces, beautiful rooms, and a beautiful common area are specifically called out. Apartments are described as “really nice,” and the facility atmosphere is labeled as homey and appealing. The combination of cleanliness, attractive common spaces, and well-kept apartments contributes to an overall impression of a comfortable, well-maintained community in a convenient location.

Activities and engagement: Activity-related comments are mixed. Some reviewers note activities with residents, indicating organized engagement opportunities exist and staff participate. However, at least one reviewer explicitly states there are “not many activities,” and another comment implies inconsistency in activity offerings. This pattern suggests the activity program may be uneven — well-executed at times or for certain residents/groups but lacking breadth or consistency for others. For prospective residents who prioritize a busy calendar of events and programming, this is a point worth clarifying with the community.

Flexibility and resident experience: Several reviews praise the flexibility of the community and describe the setting as homey; one reviewer specifically notes “lots of flexibility.” Combined with positive remarks that residents enjoy living there, these details suggest the community can adapt to individual preferences and create a comfortable, personalized living experience for many residents.

Notable patterns and suggestions: The dominant strengths are staff, dining, and the physical environment — these are repeatedly and specifically praised. The principal concern emerging from the reviews is around activities: either the quantity or consistency is sometimes lacking. There is limited direct feedback about management policies, medical care specifics, or costs in the provided comments, so those areas remain unassessed. For families or prospects, it would be advisable to tour the community, sample a meal, and review the current activity calendar to confirm the level and variety of programming matches the resident’s expectations. Overall, Viljoya Enhanced Independent appears to offer a warm, clean, and well-staffed environment with strong dining and comfortable accommodations, while potentially needing to address or better communicate the scope and consistency of its activity programming.

    About Viljoya Enhanced Independent

Viljoya Enhanced Independent is a retirement community in Kalispell, Montana, found at 119 5th Ave W, that serves adults aged 55 and up, and you can tell right off there's a focus on meeting folks' individual needs with a whole range of living and care options, which includes independent living, assisted living, nursing homes, memory care for those with memory loss, respite care for short-term stays, and even home care, plus some specialized options for those with disabilities or health conditions so most seniors can find something that suits what they're looking for or what they need help with, and the place is part of a bigger network of senior living choices, so you'd see shared services and some consistency in support. There are only six private villa apartments, each with their own outside entrance, a full kitchen, dining and living room, a bedroom, a bathroom with an easy-entry shower, vaulted ceilings, in-unit washer and dryer, free wireless internet, and individual controls for air and heat so people can stay comfortable without too much trouble, and then every week housekeeping comes through and takes care of linens too, so that's less to worry about for the residents. The staff is on hand to help with daily needs and provide personal care, things like helping with walking, managing medications, incontinence care, and just checking in, and from what reviews say, they do try to keep up with everyone's changing needs, which is important as people age or health situations change.

Folks get two home-cooked meals a day, planned by meal planners and chefs and served in a common area that's got a living room, dining space, and a fireplace, so there's always a chance for some casual conversation or sitting together - and there's cable TV and WiFi too, so you're not without entertainment or ways to keep in touch. The villas are wheelchair-accessible with showers that are easier to get in and out of, and the property itself comes with safety features like handicap-accessibility and a sprinkler system. Maintenance is taken care of as part of living there, which takes some worry away, and the staff offers help with transportation and parking for those who still get out or have visitors.

People with pets are welcome, so nobody has to give up a family companion, and there are scenic walking paths and gathering areas outside and inside, including an exercise and recreation room, large common areas, and a game or activities room, not to mention a fitness center and salon/barbershop for some self-care. The community runs weekly activities, arts and crafts, health and wellness programs, and some education programs, so it's easy to stay busy or pick up something new, and you can find respite and short-term stays if you're recovering or if family needs a break. There's a dedicated consultation and customer support process so families can ask questions and check out verified reviews from others on the experience, and if someone's looking to buy or sell a place connected to the community, there's a real estate team and help with property marketing.

Viljoya Enhanced Independent offers a range of studio, one-bedroom, and two-bedroom apartments, all designed to feel like home and support a comfortable, active lifestyle while focusing on safety, ease of living, and regular social connections, and with meals, cleaning, and care provided, it's the kind of place where daily work drops off and you can spend more time doing what you enjoy or just relaxing. The facility holds a 4.0-star rating and invites people to check available options and pricing, though rates aren't listed publicly.
