    Outstanding attentive caregivers; highly recommended

I had an outstanding experience - the director was personally involved and the staff were honest, caring, professional and detail-oriented. Caregivers were attentive, on time, quick to respond, helped with showering/dressing and cleaning, provided cheerful 24-hr companionship and trustworthy respite; one caregiver was a true angel and a godsend. My only suggestion is more caregivers to ease staffing, but I highly recommend them and plan to continue after recovery.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The reviews are overwhelmingly positive, portraying Visiting Angels as a reliable, compassionate, and professional in-home care provider. Multiple reviewers use emotionally strong language — calling staff “true Angels,” “a godsend,” and saying prayers were answered — which indicates that clients experienced meaningful improvements in care or relief for family caregivers. The dominant themes are reliability, individualized attention, and high staff professionalism.

Care quality: Reviewers consistently emphasize attentive, detail-oriented care. Caregivers are described as noticing changes in condition, providing reassurance, and going above and beyond routine tasks. Several comments highlight clinical competence — one caregiver was an experienced retired visiting nurse who helped family members better understand care needs — which suggests that care extends beyond basic assistance to informed clinical observation and guidance. The service is also credited with producing better outcomes for clients, implying positive effects on health or well-being.

Staff attributes and management: Staff characteristics recur across reviews: punctuality, kindness, organization, and responsiveness. The office staff are specifically noted as knowledgeable and quick to respond, and the director’s personal involvement is mentioned — a sign of engaged management and accountability. Reviewers praise both front-line caregivers and administrative personnel, pointing to a coherent team approach where scheduling, communication, and problem resolution happen promptly.

Services and practical support: The scope of services described includes 24-hour care options, assistance with showering and dressing, cleaning services, and cheerful companionship. Reviewers value reliability for daily routines and respite for family caregivers; multiple reviewers said the service allowed a family member to rest or recover while ensuring consistent care for their loved one. The combination of practical tasks (hygiene, cleaning) and emotional support (cheerful company, reassurance) appears to be a distinguishing strength.

Reliability and responsiveness: Punctuality and dependability are repeatedly called out: caregivers arriving on time, being available when needed, and responding quickly to questions. Several reviewers explicitly recommend the service and say they plan to continue it, which reinforces a pattern of satisfaction with consistency and follow-through.

Areas for improvement and notable gaps: The most concrete criticism across the summaries is a need for more caregivers — staffing levels could be improved. That single, repeated concern suggests occasional capacity or scheduling strain rather than poor care quality. There is little or no information in these summaries about other operational aspects such as dining options, facility environment (not applicable to most in-home care), or organized activities; those topics were not raised and therefore cannot be assessed from these reviews.

Overall assessment: Based on the collected summaries, Visiting Angels appears to deliver high-quality, compassionate in-home care with dependable, clinically aware caregivers and responsive management. The service is particularly valued for punctuality, practical assistance (hygiene, cleaning), 24-hour coverage, and its positive impact on family caregivers’ stress and clients’ outcomes. The primary area to watch is staffing volume — ensuring adequate caregiver numbers to meet demand — but otherwise reviewers strongly recommend the agency and report excellent personal experiences.

    About Visiting Angels

Visiting Angels, found at 24 Opera House Square in Claremont, NH, provides in-home care for seniors who want to stay in their own homes and keep their independence, and the way they do things is pretty straightforward because they offer help with daily routines like bathing, dressing, grooming, meal prep, and keeping things tidy with laundry and housekeeping, and they do things like remind about medications, help with groceries and errands, and even give rides to doctor appointments, which can be a big help to both the seniors and their families. Folks know the "Angel Companion" care option and other programs for Alzheimer's, dementia, and end-of-life care, and they've got a mix of personal care, memory support, respite care, and social care, all tailored around what each person really needs, and if someone needs hospice or palliative care, those things happen too, and for those who need help only some of the time, they have flexible schedules and match each person with a local caregiver who's trained and experienced. The idea is to support emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being, and their staff work with families to come up with a plan that'll make sense for their loved ones, even offering free consultations in the home to figure out the best way forward. People from Brattleboro to Hanover and other towns nearby can use their services, and their team keeps things focused on safety, fall prevention, and staying secure, with all care happening right where people feel most comfortable-at home-and that means seniors can age in place while getting the support they need with dignity.
