About The Prospect-Woodward Health Center at Hillside Village

The Prospect-Woodward Health Center at Hillside Village sits on 66 acres of quiet land in Keene, New Hampshire, and has walking paths, gardens, and a peaceful outdoor setting. The community offers independent living, assisted living, memory care services for those with dementia, and skilled nursing care, so folks with different needs get care in one place and don't have to move around much. There are 43 private assisted living apartments, 18 private memory care suites, and 20 private nursing home rooms, all newly built, with either private bathrooms or easy-to-access features. Some rooms have ground floor access, kitchenettes, or big open living spaces, and memory care suites have private baths.

The center helps residents with daily needs like dressing, bathing, and medication management, and has support for non-ambulatory folks and others needing help with transfers. There's trained staff on duty around the clock, an emergency alert system in each room, and a nurse call system that works all day and night. The community runs special programs for people with Alzheimer's or other memory issues, using individual care plans, and has a dementia waiver program for those who need it. Therapy services like physical, occupational, and speech therapy happen on-site at the clinic, plus there's diabetic care, incontinence care, wound care, and access to podiatry, hospice, and respite services through partners.

Meals come from a dining room with help from a professional chef and a dietician, and the kitchen handles many special diets like low or no sugar, gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and low sodium, with restaurant-style dining, room service, and even guest meals if someone wants visitors. Each neighborhood has a family-style kitchen, a spacious living room, and easy spaces for everyone to share. Laundry, dry cleaning, and housekeeping are done for the residents, who also get help coordinating their move-in.

For daily life, the center has a beauty salon and barber shop, a spa with whirlpool tubs, a swimming pool, and a wellness center, so folks can relax or stay active as they want. There are indoor and outdoor sitting areas, raised garden beds, and easy spaces for people using wheelchairs. The community offers many social activities-movie nights, art classes, music, cooking, wine tastings, day trips, Bible study, fitness classes, bible study, educational talks, and resident-led events-with a library, TV lounge, arts and crafts room, and game rooms. Residents can also join devotional services both on and off-site. There are private telephones, cable TV, Wi-Fi, and washers and dryers in common areas for everyone to use. Free transportation runs for trips, shopping, or doctor visits, and the center has parking for residents and guests. Sprinkler systems and handicap-friendly designs keep everyone safer.

This community is not-for-profit and works with local hospitals and services, so residents stay connected to healthcare if needed. It's homey, with a welcoming staff who help people feel comfortable while supporting any health needs, and it's the only Life Care Assisted Living and Memory Care community in the Keene area, giving folks different levels of support under one roof. Residents help run activities, adding a sense of community and involvement for everybody living there.
