    Warm affordable family-like community recommended

I toured and moved my relative here and was very pleased. The staff are professional, friendly, and responsive; the place is clean, home-like, and affordable for limited incomes. Food is good, activities (bingo and social events) keep residents engaged, and accessibility/quick move-in were real pluses. Overall a warm, family-like community I'd recommend.

    Summary of reviews

Reviewers convey a mixed but consistent pattern: direct caregiving staff and the small, family-like community environment are frequently cited as strengths, while administrative practices and facility upkeep generate the most concern. The facility is described as having a home-like feel, approachable frontline staff, accessible elevator service, and social programming that can be enjoyable for residents (bingo and group activities were specifically mentioned). Several accounts emphasize prompt admission/visit availability and affordable pricing that can be suitable for families on limited budgets.

Care-quality observations are bifurcated. Day-to-day interactions with caregiving staff are generally characterized as competent, pleasant, and responsive; families note positive personal interactions and residents who appear comfortable. At the same time, there are operational gaps for residents who need more help: reviewers indicate limited supervision of personal living spaces and personal-care routines, and that the community may not be appropriate for people who require daily, hands-on assistance. Prospective residents who need extensive support should evaluate the facility's care scope and staffing levels closely.

Dining and activities elicit varied impressions. Some residents and families describe the food as satisfactory and the dining experience as comfortable. The facility runs social offerings that engage residents, including bingo and other group events; these were described as lively by some. However, reviewers also raise concerns about unclear activity funding and scheduling, which can create inconsistency in program availability. Clarifying the activity calendar and whether special events require extra fees would be advisable for families assessing social engagement options.

Facility condition and environment are similarly mixed. Multiple reviewers praised cleanliness in common areas and overall tidiness, while others described visible wear—chipped paint and dated interior finishes—that contribute to an institutional feel in parts of the building. Accessibility is generally adequate (elevator access was noted), but stair use and physical-navigation concerns were mentioned for some units. These contrasting impressions suggest uneven maintenance across the property rather than uniformly poor or excellent upkeep.

Management and administrative issues are the most recurrent concerns. Families describe poor communication, an imperious communication tone from administration, and organizational weaknesses that affect billing transparency, activity scheduling, and responsiveness to questions. There are also mentions of substantial price increases and unclear explanations about Medicaid/Medicare coverage and benefits counseling. One serious financial concern is framed by reviewers as an allegation of vendor-related kickbacks; this claim warrants independent verification during any due-diligence process.

In summary, Lincoln Terrace Home Inc presents clear strengths in staff rapport, community atmosphere, basic cleanliness, accessibility, and affordability for those with limited resources. The primary operational liabilities are administrative communication, transparency around finances and benefits, inconsistent oversight for residents needing hands-on care, and areas of deferred maintenance. Families considering this community should: verify the facility's ability to meet the prospective resident's level-of-care needs, obtain written explanations of pricing and recent rate history, ask for documentation on Medicaid/Medicare enrollment assistance, review activity calendars and any associated fees, inspect multiple areas of the building in person, and request references from current families. Those whose loved ones require regular, substantial assistance or who need robust administrative transparency may wish to evaluate alternatives.

    About Lincoln Terrace Home Inc

Lincoln Terrace Home Inc sits in a peaceful part of Rochester, New Hampshire, close to local stores, parks, and Frisbie Memorial Hospital. The facility has only 16 rooms, which helps keep things calm and makes it easy for residents to know one another. Some folks choose independent living here, while others use assisted living, memory care, or respite services for caregiver relief. The staff includes experienced professionals who help with medication, bathing, dressing, daily activities, and coordinate with healthcare providers to make sure different needs get met. There's 24-hour support, supervision, and a call system for safety. The building's cozy interior features blue floral curtains, hardwood or carpeted floors, and comfortable armchairs, while the rooms come fully furnished with warm wood furniture, blue walls, decorative touches, and kitchenettes.

Meals are home-cooked and served in a dining space that encourages people to linger and visit, and there's always a focus on nutritious food, special diets, and options for those with diabetes. Residents gather in common rooms or outside on the garden porch, sometimes for movie nights or arts activities, sometimes just to relax or socialize. Housekeeping, linen service, cable, WiFi, and phone service help residents feel more at home, and staff arrange rides to doctor appointments and with medical transportation. Safety and comfort matter at Lincoln Terrace Home Inc, with an emphasis on privacy but also a sense of community, familiar touches like favorite chairs, flower arrangements, and photos, and opportunities to join in daily activities or just sit quietly in one of the peaceful spaces. Owned by the Duymazlar Family and operated by As Life Goes On, LLC and As Life Goes On 2, LLC, the home is designed for seniors who want a supportive, caring place to live with help as needs change.
