    Friendly caring staff warm community

I live in a warm, homey Catholic community with two chapels, statues, beautiful grounds, and an active, inclusive social life. The staff are friendly, caring, and respect my independence - they take personal interest and are always available, and fellow residents are welcoming. I enjoy engaging activities, great entertainment, and three comforting meals a day (or an apartment-with-kitchen option and dining-room service for an extra charge); I'm sad it's coming down.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is strongly positive, with multiple recurring themes that emphasize a warm, faith-centered, socially active community and attentive staff. Residents and reviewers frequently highlight the Catholic setting—specifically the presence of two chapels and religious statues—which contributes to a spiritual, homey ambiance. The property and grounds are described as beautiful, and many reviewers appreciated the comforting routine the community provides, including the structure of three meals a day and accessible meal service.

Care quality and staff interactions are consistently praised. Reviews note that staff are friendly, caring, and available for residents' needs. Several comments emphasize that staff show personal interest in residents and respect their independence and dignity, suggesting a supportive culture that balances assistance with autonomy. There are no repeated complaints about clinical care or neglect in the provided summaries; instead, the tone about caregiving is one of confidence and appreciation.

Facilities and living options are another strong point. The availability of apartments with kitchen options gives residents choice and flexibility, while the dining room provides an alternative meal service (noting that it carries an additional charge). The community’s physical environment—described as homey and beautiful—combined with the faith-based elements (chapels and statues) seems to create a sense of comfort and belonging for many residents.

Social life and activities are emphasized repeatedly. Reviewers mention active, engaging activities and strong entertainment programming, producing an inclusive social environment where fellow residents are friendly and connections are readily formed. The presence of regular entertainment, structured activities, and an overall engaging social calendar is a frequent positive highlight and appears to be a core strength of the community.

The principal concerns that appear in the summaries are limited but notable. One practical consideration is that use of the dining room meal service involves an extra charge, which some residents may view as an added expense. More emotionally significant is the repeated sadness expressed that the beautiful property is "coming down"—this phrasing suggests the property is being demolished, significantly altered, or perhaps the community is closing or relocating. That development is mentioned as a source of regret and could affect residents' sense of continuity and attachment to the setting.

In summary, the reviews portray Saint Francis Residential Community as a compassionate, faith-oriented senior community with attractive grounds, meaningful spiritual resources, robust activities and entertainment, and a staff culture that values dignity and personal attention. The main operational/quality note to watch is the extra charge for dining room meals and the reported loss or alteration of the beautiful property, which appears to be an important concern among reviewers. Otherwise, the dominant impression is of a special, caring community where residents enjoy social engagement, routine, and respect from staff and peers.
