    About St. Zita's Villa

St. Zita's Villa sits on nearly 14 acres in Monsey, New York, right near the New Jersey border, and has been serving women for over 100 years, since it was established in memory of Mother Zita back in 1938, and it's run by the Catholic Sisters of Reparation, Congregation of Mary, though it's a non-sectarian home. The building covers 30,000 square feet and offers care for up to 35 women, providing a quiet residential setting on a spacious estate, and you'll find that it's especially focused on helping women in need, with both independent living and support available, and staff are around 24 hours a day to help with emergencies or daily needs. Residents can get assisted living services, memory care, and continuing care, and they'll find programs for mental wellness, help with medication, bathing, dressing, transfers, and reminders for incontinence care, plus blood sugar monitoring for those with diabetes, though insulin injections aren't provided.

The villa provides meals made with quality ingredients and can make special meal plans for those who need diabetic or allergy-friendly diets, and there's both restaurant-style and all-day dining in the dining room. Rooms come furnished, with wheelchair accessible showers, telephones, and emergency alert systems, and housekeeping, laundry, and dry cleaning get handled as well. The indoor and outdoor common areas offer plenty of space to relax, with a garden, library, walking paths, a beautiful courtyard, and an arts room, and activities like bingo, movie nights, arts, theatre trips to NYC, and community-sponsored events fill the schedule, while some activities are run by residents themselves.

The community welcomes visiting therapists, podiatrists, and nurses, and has long-term staff members, and residents can get physical, occupational, and speech therapy on-site. There's a barber and salon, a beautician, and devotional services on the property, and hospice services are also offered. The facility is nearby a bus line, offers complimentary and at-cost transportation, and there's parking for residents. Wheelchair access is available throughout, as well as support in English. St. Zita's Villa is a women-only community with a long tradition of supporting those in need in Rockland County and the Hudson Valley area, and those interested can take a tour to see the estate, meet the staff, and get a feel for what daily life looks like on the grounds.
