    Warm friendly community, slow maintenance

I live here and love the warm, friendly staff, welcoming residents, clean, well-maintained facility, and the many activities my sister enjoys - it's a quiet, one-of-a-kind community close to my daughter. The rent is high and management/maintenance can be slow (no 24/7 staff - we once had to wait until Monday 8am), but I'm happy here and would highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment in the reviews is strongly positive about the lived experience at Preswick Glen, with repeated praise for staff warmth, resident camaraderie, the condition of the facility, and the activity offerings. Multiple reviewers use enthusiastic language — calling it an "amazing place," "one-of-a-kind community," and noting "happiness every day" — and at least one reviewer explicitly states they "highly recommend" the community. The facility is described as clean and well maintained, and reviewers repeatedly emphasize that the building and grounds are in very good condition.

Staff and resident community emerge as the most consistent strengths. Reviews specifically call staff "friendly," "warm and welcoming," and describe residents as similarly warm, creating an inviting social atmosphere. That welcoming staff-resident dynamic contributes to the impression of a tight-knit, positive culture where people enjoy living. The sense of community is reinforced by statements that residents are happy and that relatives (for example a sister) enjoy the activities, indicating both direct resident satisfaction and family approval.

Facilities and programming are also cited as strong points. The facility is repeatedly described as "nice," "well maintained," and "clean," implying that custodial and housekeeping standards are high. Reviewers praise the activities as "comprehensive," with at least one family member noting their relative actively enjoys and takes part in the programming. The neighborhood setting is characterized as quiet and residential, and proximity to family members ("close to daughter's home") is mentioned as a convenience that may matter to prospective residents and relatives.

The primary negative themes center on cost and operational responsiveness. Reviewers mention "high rent," signaling that affordability is a potential barrier or concern for some prospective residents. Operational concerns are primarily focused on maintenance and management: reviewers note there is "no 24/7 maintenance staff," report "slow response to maintenance," and cite situations where issues are deferred until non-business hours (for example, "wait until Monday 8am"). These comments suggest that urgent or after-hours maintenance needs may not be handled immediately, and that management responsiveness in those situations is perceived as lacking. The phrase "poor management" appears in the reviews, reinforcing a pattern where administrative or service-level follow-through is a notable area for improvement.

Taken together, the reviews paint Preswick Glen as a highly appealing community in terms of social atmosphere, cleanliness, and programming, with strong endorsements from residents and visitors. However, prospective residents should weigh these positives against concerns about cost and the availability/response of maintenance services, especially for urgent or after-hours issues. If you are considering Preswick Glen, it would be advisable to ask management specific questions about maintenance response times, emergency coverage, and any additional fees that contribute to the high rent, and to seek clarification about how after-hours needs are handled so you can align expectations with the community's operational policies.
