I was very satisfied with this community - admission was quick, the staff were wonderful and went above and beyond, and my mother received excellent hospice care that she truly loved. She was happy, made friends, enjoyed meals (they even served Swedish meatballs and often brought food to her room), and the pet-friendly environment (cats allowed) made a big difference.

Summary of reviews
Reviewers convey a mixed but coherent portrait of life at Marquis Forest Grove Assisted Living. The community is described as sociable and pet-friendly, with residents forming friendships and the facility allowing cats. Several families highlighted quick admissions, compassionate day-to-day care, and thoughtful end-of-life coordination with hospice, suggesting strengths in personal attention and transition support for some residents.
Staff performance is a prominent theme with two contrasting patterns. Many accounts praise individual caregivers as caring and willing to go beyond routine duties — including bringing meals to rooms and providing attentive support during final days. At the same time, staffing shortages and frequent turnover are cited as recurring operational challenges. Those staffing patterns are associated with inconsistent continuity of care, delays in responding to needs, and occasions when commitments made to families were not fully met.
Dining is another area of mixed feedback. Some reviewers appreciated homestyle offerings (for example, specific entrées were mentioned positively) and the option to have meals delivered to a room. Others characterized the menu as boring or lacking variety, indicating that culinary consistency and engagement around food could be improved.
Management and policy-level issues also appear in the feedback. Families noted leadership turnover, which can complicate communication and follow-through. There is uncertainty around Medicaid/insurance placement guidance for prospective residents, and at least one concern about rapid transitions from rehab into assisted living, which points to the need for clear transition policies and expectations.
Overall, the facility exhibits several strengths: a resident-centered social environment, pet-friendly policies, and examples of compassionate individual caregiving and hospice coordination. Counterbalancing those positives are operational weaknesses tied to staffing and leadership stability, inconsistent responsiveness, limited menu variety, and unclear financial/placement guidance. Prospective residents and families would benefit from direct inquiries about current staffing levels, leadership stability, Medicaid acceptance and placement procedures, meal programs, and the facility’s transfer policies before making a placement decision.
