    Warm staff excellent memory care

I toured here and was warmly greeted - it's an impressive, homey facility with beautifully furnished rooms, a large secure yard, and spotless common areas. The staff are loving and attentive, build one-on-one relationships, and show real empathy; the memory care is excellent. They serve fantastic homemade meals (family invited), host weekly BBQs, big-band music and dancing, and offer regular hair and nail services - I strongly recommend it.

About Applegate House of Grants Pass

Applegate House of Grants Pass sits at 1635 SW Kellenbeck Ave and is a small, boutique memory care community with no more than 15 private studio rooms, each with easy access thanks to short hallways and wheelchair accessible showers, which helps folks who live there get around without much trouble, and it tries to feel like home with comfortable, beautifully decorated spaces where staff encourages residents to help with cooking now and then to boost their appetite and sense of independence. This place takes care of seniors needing memory care for conditions like Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia with a team trained in dementia care, offering 24/7 supervision, medication management, high acuity care, diabetic and incontinence support, and all those daily activities people may need help with, such as bathing, dressing, and getting around. The community puts safety as a priority-the memory care area is secure, includes an alert system if a resident wanders out, and there's a secure outdoor area where residents can get some fresh air safely. Meals are planned and made with dementia-friendly needs in mind by chefs and meal planners, so food stays nutritious and appealing, and staff looks after everyone to make sure their personal preferences and care needs get noticed.

You'll find access to health and wellness services, non-ambulatory support, medical and fitness programs, and devotional activities, plus all sorts of engaging sensory and cognitive activities designed to support memory and emotional well-being, along with social events in both indoor and outdoor common areas built for interaction and comfort. Transportation to medical appointments and outings is offered for a fee, and there's parking for visitors, too. Folks can request respite care here for a short-term stay if they need temporary support after an illness or while a family caregiver gets a break. Applegate House of Grants Pass keeps a waitlist at the moment-there aren't any open spots, but for those considering it in the future, it's known for its cozy boutique size, the personal attention from a specially trained team, and its focus on helping each resident feel respected and safe while enjoying routines and activities that try to spark enjoyment and support their health as best as possible.
