    Neglectful staff, repeated ER visits

I entrusted my grandpa to this facility and regret it. Staff and management were unresponsive and neglectful—he was barely fed, not helped with basic tasks (TV/password), moved to a bed to avoid care, and had repeated ER visits for choking/falls; overall a terrible experience—don't go.

    Summary review

The reviews for Amazing Grace Adult Foster Home are highly polarized, showing a stark split between strong praise and serious complaints. On the positive side, several reviews describe the facility as providing tremendous, humane care with a positive environment and staff that some family members found compassionate and worthy of gratitude. On the negative side, reviewers report serious shortcomings including poor management, lack of basic assistance, safety problems that led to frequent ER visits, and statements advising others not to use the facility.

Care quality emerges as one of the most inconsistent themes. Positive comments explicitly use words such as "tremendous care" and note a humane environment, implying attentive, respectful treatment for some residents. Conversely, multiple negative comments allege fundamental neglect: residents being "barely fed," caregivers failing to help a specific family member ("never helped my grandpa"), and refusal or inability to assist with routine tasks (for example, setting up a TV or entering a password). These opposing impressions suggest that the resident experience may vary significantly depending on which staff are on duty, the particular resident's needs, or the time period being described.

Staff behavior and management are another major area of divergence. Positive reviews praise the staff; negative reviews characterize staff and management as poor and unresponsive. Specific allegations (for example, moving a patient to a bed "to avoid dealing with him") point to troubling behavior around dignity, responsiveness, and problem-solving. Repeated mentions of unresponsiveness suggest issues with communication, timeliness of care, or prioritization of resident needs by some caregivers or supervisors.

Safety and medical concerns are prominent in the negative feedback. Several reviews report frequent ER visits attributed to choking or falls. These are high-severity issues that imply potential lapses in supervision, feeding assistance, dietary safeguards, or fall-prevention practices. Because these incidents are concrete and recurrent in the negative summaries, they represent one of the most serious patterns in the dataset and warrant careful inquiry by prospective families.

Facilities, activities, and daily living support appear to be mixed and minimally described. The only specific amenity-related complaint is failure to help with a TV setup/password, which is emblematic of a broader pattern of insufficient assistance with small but meaningful daily tasks. There is little positive or neutral commentary about meals, activities, or the physical environment beyond the general statements of a "humane environment" in positive reviews. The "barely fed" allegation is a critical negative datapoint regarding meal provision and monitoring.

Taken together, the reviews portray a facility with sharply divided experiences: some families encountered attentive, humane care and were grateful, while others experienced neglect, safety incidents, and poor management. The most significant patterns to note are (1) inconsistent quality of care, (2) serious safety-related incidents leading to ER visits for choking or falls, and (3) lapses in basic assistance and responsiveness. These patterns suggest variability in staff performance or systemic issues in management and oversight.

For anyone evaluating Amazing Grace Adult Foster Home, the key takeaway is the presence of both highly positive and highly negative firsthand impressions. The negative reports include specific, serious allegations that should not be dismissed, while the positive reports indicate that satisfactory care is possible there. Prospective residents and family members should treat the mixed record as a sign to perform thorough due diligence: ask detailed questions about staffing levels, fall-prevention protocols, feeding and dietary procedures, incident reporting, supervisor availability, and how the home handles individual care plans and small daily tasks. Observing mealtimes, meeting multiple staff members across shifts, and seeking references from other families may help clarify whether the facility's strengths or weaknesses are likely to affect a particular resident.
