    Friendly staff improved mom's health

I'm very happy with our decision - the staff (Linda Temple and team) are friendly, conscientious and responsive, and my mom's health has improved with excellent care, quality homemade food and many activities. The home is clean, independent-friendly with large wheelchair-accessible rooms, a great layout (multiple common areas, huge living room, craft room), affordable and visitors can come anytime. Only downside: occasional staff shortages/high client-to-staff ratio.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is strongly positive, with multiple reviewers emphasizing compassionate, conscientious care and tangible improvements in residents' health and well-being. Care quality is highlighted repeatedly: specific caregivers are named (Linda Temple), staff are described as attentive, responsive, and capable of providing the "best care," and several reviewers reported that their loved ones became stronger or showed health improvements after moving in. The small size of the home (accommodating five residents) and its independent-friendly orientation contribute to a personalized, home-like care experience that many families appreciate.

Staff-related comments are predominantly favorable: reviewers repeatedly use words like conscientious, quick, friendly, and responsive. These descriptions suggest caregivers are engaged and communicative. However, one recurrent concern is a reported staff shortage and a high client-to-staff ratio. While most reviewers still praise staff performance and responsiveness, the mention of staffing challenges indicates a potential variability in coverage or capacity at times. This pattern suggests the facility generally delivers strong hands-on care but may be vulnerable during staffing gaps; families considering placement may want to ask management about current staffing levels and contingency plans.

Facility and environment receive consistent praise. The home is characterized as clean, well-maintained, and nicely arranged. Physical features called out include large wheelchair-accessible rooms, an overall great layout, multiple common areas, a very large living room, and a dedicated craft room. Those elements support both mobility needs and social interaction, and the small five-resident capacity reinforces a quieter, more intimate atmosphere. Several reviewers specifically noted the layout and accessible rooms as important positives for comfort and safety.

Dining and activities are other strong points. Reviewers mention quality homemade food and many activities, and one called out the combination of good food and active programming as part of why residents flourished. The presence of a craft room and organized activities indicates the facility provides meaningful social and recreational options appropriate to a small residential setting.

Cost and visiting policies are practical advantages cited by reviewers: pricing is described as affordable, and at least one reviewer appreciated the ability to visit at any time. These factors contribute to family satisfaction and perceived transparency. The small-home model appears to be a deliberate part of the facility's appeal: it supports individualized attention, fosters interpersonal relationships, and feels like a true residential environment rather than an institutional one.

In summary, the reviews paint a picture of a clean, well-run, small residential care home that offers compassionate, personalized care, quality homemade dining, and a variety of activities in an accessible, comfortable facility. The principal caution from the reviews concerns staffing levels; despite generally high praise for caregivers, at least one reviewer noted shortages and a relatively high client-to-staff ratio, which could affect service consistency. Prospective families should weigh the clear strengths—personalized attention, accessibility, cleanliness, affordable cost, and positive health outcomes—against the potential for occasional staffing constraints, and consider asking management about current staffing ratios, shift coverage, and how the home handles staffing shortages.
