    Warm, active facility with issues

I placed my mom here and love the warm, homey, lodge-like building - it's gorgeous, very clean, with a secure garden, spa services, frequent activities, live music, bus outings and lots of engaged staff. Most caregivers are compassionate, kind and attentive, and the facility feels comforting and active. My chief complaints are the small semi-private/shared bedrooms and bathrooms and occasional lapses in care/management that left some residents unhappy and promises unmet. Overall I'm grateful for the staff and programming but would urge close oversight and clear expectations before committing.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment across the reviews is mixed but leans positive, with a strong and recurring emphasis on compassionate, attentive caregiving and a well-appointed, home-like physical environment. Many reviewers describe the staff as warm, loving, and kind — noting hugs, respectful interactions, and a general sense that dignity is preserved for residents. Several comments highlight low staff turnover and ample staffing levels, which families interpret as a sign of stability and continuity of care. Multiple reviewers explicitly stated they felt grateful or relieved to have their loved one at the community and would recommend the facility.

The facility's physical attributes receive consistent praise. Reviewers frequently call out the decor and architecture as beautiful and lodge-like, describing the atmosphere as homey rather than institutional. The community is described as very clean and attractive, with secure outdoor areas and gardening space. Many appreciate that the community specializes in memory care, is located near a hospital, and that doctors will treat residents inside the facility, which families see as an important safety and convenience feature.

Activities and programming are another strong positive theme. Reviews mention a wide variety of daily activities including crafts, games, music, and snacks, plus special offerings such as live music, dancing, spa services, and visits from outside vendors. Regular outings — bus trips and weekly scenic drives — and engagement opportunities like gardening are highlighted as meaningful ways staff keep residents active and socially involved. Several reviewers specifically praise the activities team for creating an engaging schedule that provides stimulation and routine.

Despite many favorable comments, a noteworthy minority of reviews raise significant concerns. The most common practical complaint is the prevalence of shared semi-private bedrooms and bathrooms and generally smaller room sizes; several reviewers explicitly disliked shared accommodations and said they would not want a parent to be placed there. Cost is another explicit downside—several reviewers called the community expensive.

More serious are the reports about inconsistent care and culture. While many families report compassionate and attentive staff, a subset of reviewers describe disrespectful or inattentive staff behavior, intimidation or infringement on resident autonomy, and a lack of teamwork. There are allegations of management inaction and an unhealthy workplace culture in at least some accounts; one reviewer described a steady decline in care after a promising start, citing unmet promises that ultimately led them to remove their loved one. The activities manager was specifically criticized by name in one summary, indicating that leadership and team dynamics may be uneven in places. Noise level was also mentioned as a minor but recurring downside.

In summary, Country Side Living - Memory Care appears to offer a strong, home-like memory care environment with plentiful programming, engaged staff, and good cleanliness and facilities — qualities that lead many families to feel grateful and confident in the care provided. However, prospective residents and families should be aware of significant caveats noted by several reviewers: the prevalence of shared rooms and smaller private spaces, higher cost, and pockets of inconsistent staff performance and management issues. These negative reports range from inattentiveness to more serious cultural concerns and a reported decline in at least one resident's care over time. Anyone considering this community should tour the rooms to assess room configurations, ask specific questions about staffing ratios and staff retention, probe how management handles complaints and quality concerns, and seek references from current families to gauge consistency of care over time.

About Country Side Living - Memory Care

Countryside Living of Redmond is a memory care community built for people dealing with memory issues like Alzheimer's and other forms of dementia, so you'll find activities and features made to help with cognitive health, such as structured programs for social, educational, and engaging pursuits, where staff work every day to keep everyone included and active, and there's always something happening, whether it's an outing, a monthly family event, or just time to connect with children from the upstairs day care, which gives the place a nice inter-generational feel and helps bridge age gaps, making life less lonely for some residents. There's a home-like, calm countryside atmosphere, with high ceilings, wooden beams, big bright windows, and common spaces designed for easy movement and safety, while bedrooms can be private or shared with either private or shared bathrooms, depending on what a person needs, and everyone gets a personalized care plan, so diets and preferences are carefully noted. Safety is a focus here, with keypad entries and gated courtyards to help prevent wandering, and staff stay on site around the clock, including a nurse, ready to help during emergencies or just when someone needs a little extra support with eating or everyday tasks.

The staff is well-trained, meeting and often going past state memory care requirements, and every plan fits each resident's needs, with respect for choices, letting people stay as independent as they can, while the environment is always kept clean and friendly, with good food and a daily chance to socialize in indoor and outdoor areas that feel more like a big house than a hospital, all run by dedicated professionals who provide warmth and understanding. The facility has 35 beds for memory care, so the group stays close-knit, and the staff-to-resident ratio allows for lots of attention, with help available any time of the day or night, and even live-in care for those who need someone around all the time.

Countryside Living of Redmond offers respite care if caregivers need a short break, and there's adult day care and community events to help support the whole family, especially those caring for loved ones with memory loss, since programs like Thelma's Place and Whoopsy Daisy bring in volunteers and guests, and there's a focus on empathy, kindness, and keeping everyone busy in ways that matter most to them. The pricing's up-front and flat, often less than other places offering similar kinds of care, so a family knows what to expect without surprises. It's a privately owned place that aims for a family feeling, where residents live in a peaceful spot outside the city, and everyone-from staff to children in day care-works together to make sure residents feel valued, respected, and cared for in a safe, secure, and supportive setting.
