    Compassionate, clean care; highly recommended

I placed my father here and was very pleased - he loved the food, stayed COVID-free, and the professional, caring staff treated him like family (Jennifer made us feel especially welcome). The facility is immaculate and home-like with engaging activities (music, gardening), attentive caregivers, and hospice support available. I highly recommend this compassionate, trustworthy place - almost perfect, with just a bit of room for improvement.

    Summary of reviews

The reviews for Rose of Sharon Home, Inc. present a consistent picture of a small, mission-driven senior care home with a strong emphasis on personalized, family-style care. Families repeatedly highlight the staff’s friendliness, professionalism, and apparent dedication; reviewers describe caregivers as compassionate, attentive, and willing to go beyond basic duties to meet residents’ needs. Several comments emphasize that residents feel welcomed and treated like family, which supports an overall sense that the facility prioritizes relational care and resident dignity.

Care quality is portrayed positively across multiple dimensions. Reviewers praise attentive personal care, respectful interactions, and the availability of hospice support when needed. Staffing is characterized as experienced and knowledgeable, with repeated references to specific staff behaviors—warm admissions interactions, consistent caregiving, and an organizational culture that appears mission- or faith-oriented. One reviewer also noted the facility’s COVID-control outcomes and restricted local admissions, which some families may view as an infection-control strength.

Dining and programming receive strong marks. Multiple reviews cite the meals as very good and describe an engaging activity program that includes music and gardening opportunities as well as general socialization. These elements contribute to a home-like atmosphere and resident engagement. The physical plant is frequently described as clean and well-maintained; reviewers use terms indicating an orderly, comfortable environment that supports family visits and communal life.

Notable patterns and limitations: the available feedback is overwhelmingly positive, but one review raises licensing-related concerns. That comment is not elaborated in the wider dataset, so prospective families should ask management for documentation of current licensure and any recent survey or compliance history to understand the context. Additionally, the facility appears to serve a limited geographic area (Cambria County), which may restrict access for families living farther away.

In summary, Rose of Sharon Home, Inc. appears to offer a small-scale, community-oriented setting with strong interpersonal care, good dining, active programming, and a well-kept facility. Prospective residents and family members would be well served to tour the site, meet caregiving and administrative staff, review current licensing and regulatory records, and confirm scope-of-service and visitation arrangements to ensure alignment with their needs and expectations.
