    Warm respectful staff; excellent care

I'm very pleased with this facility - the staff are warm, respectful and responsive, nurses and CNAs provide high-quality care, and the physical therapy team is knowledgeable and hardworking. The building is clean, secure and social with plenty of activities; communication with families is regular, and I would recommend it for rehab or retirement.

    Summary of reviews

Reviews of The Green Home show a facility with clear strengths alongside operational inconsistencies. Many families and visitors describe warm, compassionate interactions with caregiving staff, skilled nurses, and a highly regarded rehabilitation team. The facility is frequently characterized as clean and well maintained, with active social programming, a variety of events, and opportunities for family participation. Several accounts highlight strong communication with families, attentive dining and kitchen services, and competent end-of-life care.

Care quality appears to be uneven. Positive accounts praise CNAs, nurses, and therapists for attentive, knowledgeable care and successful rehabilitation outcomes. Conversely, other accounts indicate variability in day-to-day caregiving—differences across shifts and individual staff members in responsiveness, tone, and follow-through. A subset of reviews describe serious individual incidents that raise concerns about emergency response timelines, follow-up after incidents, and medication accuracy; these descriptions point to gaps in operational reliability rather than consistent facilitywide practice.

Staffing and management are described in mixed terms. Many families feel comfortable with staff and note long-tenured employees who create a supportive environment. At the same time, there are reports of administrative turnover and inconsistent follow-up from leadership. Communication is often responsive when staff are engaged, but some reviewers describe occasions of dismissive or disrespectful communication tone. These patterns suggest training and supervisory variability that affect family experience.

Rehabilitation, activities, and dining are frequently cited strengths. The physical and occupational therapy departments receive repeated praise for effectiveness and dedication. Programming and social activities are seen as plentiful and helpful for resident engagement, and the facility’s flexibility for short-term rehab stays versus permanent residency is viewed positively. Dining services are generally described as attentive and adequate.

Facilities are usually described as pleasant and secure, but there are recurring operational concerns. A number of reviews indicate sanitation and odor issues in specific areas, and at least one review mentions pest-control concerns. Some families also note that certain parts of the building run cold, indicating temperature-control issues. Security and campus monitoring are noted as strengths.

Taken together, the pattern across reviews suggests The Green Home can deliver high-quality, compassionate care, particularly in therapy and routine nursing, but that outcome is uneven and may depend on staffing, shift, and management follow-through. Prospective residents and families would be advised to visit in person, ask about staffing patterns and turnover, review incident-response and medication-administration protocols, inquire specifically about dementia programming, and confirm cleaning and pest-control procedures. Clarifying billing practices and escalation pathways for family concerns can also help set expectations before admission.
