Brookdale Cleveland sits on a single floor with a peaceful, scenic setting and offers a wide mix of resort-style services and amenities where folks can get help with daily chores like cooking, cleaning, laundry, and even property maintenance, so residents end up with more free time to focus on hobbies instead of chores, and the building stays easy for folks to get around with no stairs or elevators making it simpler for walkers and wheelchairs, plus the team there works up a custom service plan for each person before move-in to best match what they need, and there's always trained staff available 24/7 and a nurse on call in case of emergencies or to help with things like medication, bathing, dressing, or walking. Brookdale Cleveland offers several different care options including assisted living, independent living, memory care, skilled nursing, at-home care, and even has continuing care retirement community features so people can get more support if their needs change over time, and you're welcome to bring pets with you, with no bird restrictions either. Room choices range from about 227 to 457 square feet and you get to pick between studio and one-bedroom apartments that come with private baths, easy-access showers, carpeting, individual climate control, closet space, and cable or phone hookups, plus there's the option for furnished or unfurnished setups and both private and companion suites for those who want to share. The housing is set up for senior comfort, and the community offers extras like an ice cream parlor, library, computer room, beauty salon, barber shop, bistro, activity rooms, common areas, private dining options, living rooms, sunny patios, community outdoor spaces, a walking or hiking area, an outdoor courtyard, and spots for gardening. Residents can use the transportation service for errands or doctor visits and there's wheelchair-accessible transportation too, plus parking and overnight guest rooms for visitors, and if you need it, there's elderlife financial planning and Veteran Affairs aid help as well. The kitchen team, including a chef, serves three healthy, tasty restaurant-style meals a day in an elegant dining room, and they try to work in what residents ask for, taking care with special dietary requests like diabetic, vegetarian, kosher, low-salt, or low-fat meals. The events calendar stays busy with fitness classes, group exercise, creative arts and craft workshops, jigsaw puzzles, movie nights, seasonal parties, educational outings, and musical or spiritual programs, and if you're the independent sort, you still get support as needed for things like bathing or dressing, plus extra services like housekeeping, linen and laundry, pest control, groundskeeping, and regular repairs are included. Special programs and life enrichment activities cover games, literary clubs, horticulture interests, and even escorted outings, and if therapy is needed, options like occupational and physical therapy are available. Emergency alert systems, safety features in the bathrooms, and staff help around the clock all add up to peace of mind for both residents and families, and you get to live your way with as much help or independence as needed.
Warm attentive staff, highly recommended
I'm very pleased - the staff are warm, attentive and genuinely caring, with nurses who respond quickly and take personal interest. The place feels homey, is consistently clean and well-maintained, dining is very good and there are lots of activities and outings that make residents feel engaged and safe. On-site nursing, therapy and strong safety features gave our family real peace of mind. Rooms are adequate (sometimes small) and there were a few minor issues like occasional billing/communication hiccups or rare dining/cleanliness lapses, but overall I highly recommend it.

About Brookdale Cleveland
About Brookdale
Brookdale Cleveland is managed by Brookdale.
Brookdale Senior Living Inc. (NYSE: BKD) is the largest senior living operator in the United States, managing over 640 communities with capacity for approximately 59,000 residents across 41 states and employing around 36,000 associates. Founded in 1978 and publicly traded since 2005, Brookdale solidified its market leadership through major acquisitions including American Retirement Corporation (2006) and Emeritus Senior Living (2014), making it the only national full-spectrum senior living company. Headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee, Brookdale has topped the American Seniors Housing Association's ASHA 50 list and Argentum's largest providers list for multiple consecutive years.
The company's comprehensive care continuum includes independent living, assisted living, memory care, skilled nursing, and continuing care retirement communities (CCRCs). Brookdale's signature Clare Bridge program, developed over 30 years ago by dementia-care experts, provides specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care through two distinct levels: Clare Bridge communities for comprehensive memory support and the Clare Bridge Solace program for advanced-stage dementia residents. The program is recognized by the Alzheimer's Association® for incorporating evidence-based Dementia Care Practice Recommendations and features secure environments, enclosed courtyards, Daily Path programming with six structured activities daily, and the InTouch technology platform offering personalized brain-stimulating games and therapeutic content.
Brookdale's holistic Optimum Life® wellness approach balances six dimensions—Purposeful, Physical, Emotional, Social, Spiritual, and Intellectual—implemented through signature programs including B-Fit (eight exercise class options), Brain Fit (mental fitness workouts), My Life Story (resident storytelling), EngagementPlus (interest-based connections), Growing Together (collaborative learning), and The Ageless Spirit (kindness and gratitude practices). The Embrace Family Partnership provides caregiver education and support for families of memory care residents.
The company's Brookdale HealthPlus® care coordination model, winner of the 2024 Argentum Best of the Best Award placing it among the top 1% of operators, is a technology-enabled healthcare service featuring dedicated RN Care Managers who proactively manage residents' health, coordinate care transitions, and help prevent avoidable hospitalizations. Communities using HealthPlus report 78% fewer urgent care visits, 36% fewer hospitalizations, and 63% more completed annual wellness visits. The Personal Solutions program delivers hygiene products, medications, and daily necessities directly to residents' doors with discreet packaging and monthly billing convenience.
Following a strategic divestiture of its home health and hospice operations to HCA Healthcare (completed December 2023), Brookdale now focuses exclusively on senior living operations while maintaining its position as the industry's largest operator, committed to its mission of enriching lives with compassion, respect, excellence, and integrity.
