    Spotless, peaceful, personalized home care

I placed my mom here and have been extremely impressed. The renovated home and grounds are spotless and peaceful, the meals are delicious and healthy, and the small, non-corporate staff - owners, administrator and caregivers - are warm, attentive, and provide individualized, one-on-one care while keeping family informed. It feels like a cozy, home-like setting with on-site services and ample visiting areas - I highly recommend it.

    Summary review

Overall sentiment: The aggregated reviews for Great Southern Senior Living are uniformly positive. Reviewers repeatedly highlight an exceptionally clean, well‑maintained facility with a quiet, home‑like atmosphere and a strong sense of individualized attention. Across summaries there is a consistent theme of satisfaction: families and residents describe the environment as relaxing and family‑oriented, and many explicitly state they would recommend the facility.

Care quality and staff: The most prominent theme is the quality of staff and caregiving. Reviews emphasize respectful, friendly, and highly attentive personnel who provide individualized, one‑on‑one care and listen to residents’ needs. Low staff turnover and the existence of personal relationships between staff and residents are noted several times, which reviewers link to continuity of care and a family‑like setting. Multiple summaries specifically call out that staff address both physical and mental needs, and that caregivers are informative and keep families updated.

Facilities and environment: The physical plant receives frequent praise. Reviewers describe a renovated, gorgeous property with immaculate grounds, private rooms with their own bathrooms, ample visiting areas for family, and an overall lack of institutional odor. The facility’s small size and intimate setting contribute to the at‑home feeling many reviewers note. Descriptions such as “gorgeous,” “quiet at‑home feeling,” and “peaceful” recur, indicating that the aesthetic and atmosphere are important selling points.

Health services and amenities: Several reviews mention on‑site medical support and rehabilitative services, including an on‑site doctor, physical therapy, and pharmacy access. This combination of medical amenities within a small, residential environment is highlighted as a distinguishing advantage. Reviewers also point to available activities and staff efforts to keep residents entertained and occupied, contributing to a positive living environment.

Dining and daily life: Dining is another strong area: multiple summaries describe the food as delicious, healthy, and “top‑notch.” Meal quality is tied directly to overall satisfaction and is repeatedly cited alongside staff attentiveness and cleanliness as a reason families feel comfortable recommending the community.

Management and ownership: Reviewers consistently note hands‑on management. The owner and administrator are described as accessible and present on-site, and the ownership structure is termed small/non‑corporate—which reviewers see as contributing to personalized oversight and responsiveness. Knowledgeable management and an attentive ownership presence are framed as reasons for the facility’s strong performance.

Notable patterns and absence of concerns: Across these summaries there are no consistent negative themes called out—no mention of odor problems, staffing shortages, poor food, or safety concerns. The absence of reported negatives is itself notable and suggests a high level of overall satisfaction among those who contributed reviews. Because the summaries are uniformly positive, prospective families should still verify specifics (levels of care, cost, and availability) during a visit, but the review evidence indicates a strong track record in cleanliness, individualized care, facility quality, dining, and management responsiveness.

Conclusion: Taken together, the reviews portray Great Southern Senior Living as a small, well‑kept, non‑corporate senior living option with exceptional staff, excellent food, on‑site medical supports, private rooms, family‑friendly spaces, and hands‑on management. The dominant impressions are trust, warmth, and consistently high satisfaction from residents and families.

    About Great Southern Senior Living

Great Southern Senior Living sits out on Pisgah Road in Cordova, TN, with a country setting and acres of land that feel open and quiet, and what stands out right off is the way the buildings look and feel more like someone's home than a big facility, with things like spacious bedrooms and handcrafted crown molding you notice as soon as you walk in, and it's got this place called Pisgah Home that's real home-like too. The place has over 20 years of experience in caring for seniors, and Mr. Steve Chandler manages the business, running it with a focus on personalized care for every person who moves in, offering services that cover assisted living, memory care, nursing homes, independent living, and all sorts of in-home care through what they call adult family homes and residential care homes, so you don't get just one kind of care but lots of choices. They've shaped their care plans to fit every resident, and they'll provide both private and semi-private rooms, making sure folks get the kind of privacy or social company they prefer, and there's constant 24/7 care and security so families have peace of mind even at night. The staff keep a small caregiver-to-resident ratio, so residents get noticed and not forgotten about, and besides daily housekeeping and laundry services, there are social activities each day to keep everyone engaged and not staring at the walls. Memory care gets special attention, with therapy and housing for folks living with Alzheimer's or dementia, and all the care types-from assisted living to in-home support-are described clearly in terms like Senior Care Resources and Housing Options, and reviews of the place are verified and hand-picked, aiming for truth about what everyday life is. Pricing isn't always published, but estimates run around $165 to over $7,000 a month and the fee setup means families can get help from an advisor for free, only paying if they decide to move their loved one in. Great Southern Senior Living doesn't carry BBB accreditation but has a high rating from people who've used the place, getting 5.0 stars in 14 reviews, and they put an emphasis on helping families compare options and make decisions that fit their needs with help from local advisors who know the area, all so nobody has to feel lost figuring out where to go next.
